Does oxidised AK380 + amp affects on its sq?
When you polish them - maybe they sound sharper...
No - oxidation does not affect the sound
I laughed when I read y0our response, lol. it's a valid question as so much does affect SQ. I know someone who uses copper heat sinks on their massive mono block amps and they actually tested polished, oxidized and polished with a special covering to prevent oxidation (for looks only). What would affect SQ is on speaker terminals or any other connection.
So it does sound differently? May I know if it sounds better with or without oxidation? Will polishing ruin the copper body?
Really? I know you’re quite a trumpet player Mr. Armstrong but your hearing must be quite amazing.Different leather cases seemingly also make a difference. The best sound is without any case.
Sorry, I was joking. Didn't come off right. No difference in sound. I actually polished mine...amp and DAP. No difference whatsoever. Polishing will ruin that dull oxidized finish (joking ). Polish it up, but it will quickly get oxidized again. I also wouldn't suggest applying quartermaster or lacquer as that would create overheating problems potentially.
This depends on the impedance of the BA's - with a single ended output impedance of 2 ohm the matching inear should have minimum 16 ohm otherwise it could alter the frequencies.
When you get the SP1000Cu be aware that you are living in a country with high air moisture.
A few owner of SP1000Cu in moisture areas indicates also oxidation on SP1000.
