@JasonNYC

Supposedly it's a firmware issue, which is why Tidal doesn't play FLAC in 24bit. Cayin and Hiby already came with a firmware update because of this and Tidal works fine there. Any chance you can push the support team to get us this update? Or is there no provision for such a thing and we will never be able to use Tidal appropriately?

EDIT: Since today there is a new version in the download section. It is the 2.92.0. Unfortunately flac in 24bit still does not work, red led.

Hi, is a 4.4 to 4.4 cable enough to connect the Sp3000 to Tsuranagi?
I did but I remember a specific grounded version was suggested originally

I cannot find that statement anymore.
If I were you I d post a mail to Andrew and just ask his opinion and as mentioned I ve been happily using Tsuranagi with Sp3k with a standard Pentacon IC cable before (in my case Satin Audio Perseus)

Edit:
So I got confirmation in the Watercooler group.
Sp3k port is grounded.
So you are fine with the standard IC

Can you post a picture of the cable you use to connect your amp to the SP3000?

Anyone know if there’s any sound difference between the copper, silver, and black version of the sp3000 or is it just all esthetics?
Black and Silver are both stainless steel body materials and should sound the same. Copper would have a slightly different sound signature than the stainless steel. There have been numerous discussions in this thread on sound differences between tbe two body types. I am sure others will chime in with their experiences listening to both.

@Johnsmith55 To me, the copper version has a warmer signature and slower decay. So, it really depends on what is your preferred signature and what sort of music you listen to. :)

+1. I agree it is warmer though I would add it is subtle but enough for me to prefer the Cu version over the other.

What is a good pair of good headphone to pair with SP3000? $2,000-3,000 budget. My new SP3000 is coming on Monday.

Also, any headphone store in Inland Empire, Orange Country, Los Angeles CA area?
Thank you,
