I have side loaded the Tidal app, as opposed to the pre-installed, but I want to check how I keep Tidal up to date. Do you know if update notifications will appear on screen or do you have to check yourself manually?
Tidal on my iPhone shows a notification when it's been updated, it does this automatically I don't check or do anything, so I would imagine it's the same on an Android DAP. I'd really be interested to know your impressions on differences in sound quality and functionality, thanks.

A couple pages ago, some people wasn’t happy with Sp3k touch screen either. My 2 cents is that these stuff happens regardless of brands. It depends on which one you would rather be happy with. Ultimately, I would think the sound signature is what matter, and you should try it out. As far as customer support go here, you are not going to have your emails responded in the manner that Ibasso do.
Wasn't happening with the DX300 for sure.... screen activating if you're resting the cord of you IEMS on top... seriously.
Basically the options are USE IT or TURN IT OFF (and wait for minutes before it's operational again).
Might sound awesome (and it does), but screen issues like those are really not acceptable on the moist premium DAP on the market.

I would use @arftech advise and be giving A&K a call over the phone to ask them for their supports

I had this screen behavior with a few of my past DAPs...even my iphone. No big deal for me. :)

Pop on apkpure or wherever you downloaded and see if a new version exists. I have Qobuz and Amazon HD on my cellphone, so when I see an update there I go to my AK.

There's no notification. I believe it is because there is no Playstore App on the device. You will have to manually download and install the new version of the app.

Mmmaybe. I'd say it has darker background which helps with revealing the instruments and separating them, while not being bright. This consequently makes SP3k more relaxed than SP2k, similar to the difference between SP2k and SP1k, but on a bigger scale actually. Which can be also interpreted as SP3k being warmer than SP2k.

But still, when I was saying warmer/airiness I was talking in comparison to DAPS with tube amplification, not the previous model, so I wouldn't call SP3k warm. Even within AK lineup, you can compare to SP2kT in tube mode
My impression is that it combines the advantage of (SP1000+AMP) and SP2000 into SP3000. It has both the extension to the low end of SP1000AMP and the detail retrieval of SP2000 and pushes to further better.

Just worth 3 years of development.

Yeah, I wouldn't call the SP3000 warm. I'd say it's neutral, but with more power, weight, authority than the SP2000. I guess that has to do with better low end, but maybe also a sharper definition to the notes. But whatever the case, I'd agree that it gives the impression of an amp being added to the SP2000, even when listening through a low-impedance headphone. This characteristic, and the more holographic sound, are the two things that are the most noticeable when comparing the SP3000 to the SP2000.

Just stunning.

Kinda having a trouble figuring out how the SP3000 starts up: I don’t necessarily want it to boot up upon start in the “CD cover view” (see pic below), would rather have it start with the basic artist list. If it must start in “CD cover view”, how does it determine what is displayed initially (seems to always be something random)? Any info would be appreciated.
