Kinda having a trouble figuring out how the SP3000 starts up: I don’t necessarily want it to boot up upon start in the “CD cover view” (see pic below), would rather have it start with the basic artist list. If it must start in “CD cover view”, how does it determine what is displayed initially (seems to always be something random)? Any info would be appreciated.

Does anyone use the AK CD Ripper Mk2 to transfer music direct to their SP3K? I’m thinking of getting it but I’d be interested in peoples thoughts on it first.

Yes you can set it at the right most two way arrows:
Un-select home, and rearranging artists to the 1st in the list (with the house icon 1).

I normally listen to my SP3000 with my EE Odin. Occasionally my Utopias but not so much.
Today out of interest I tried my Shure KSE1200 and they sound fantastic. Not balanced of course but a great match up. So glad I kept the Shures now.

How does the Odin compare to the KSE, with the SP3000?

How does the Odin compare to the KSE, with the SP3000?

The Odins really stand out with the SP3000. I love their dynamics, separation and clarity. The KSE though is a sneaky little thing. On first listen nothing jumps out at you like with the Odins. However after a while you realise how relaxing they are and how revealing and balanced they are.
The Odins grab you, punch you in the face and say listen to this isn’t it great. Whereas the KSE is more seductive and it’s only after a listening session you realise how sweet and revealing they are.
I rate both highly but they are different.
