I do think WAV files seem to have the edge over FLAC. However 90% of my music is FLAC.Any difference is the sound of Flac versus Wave file?

He does go on to say:Susvara driven at 105 volume? Sorry not buying it...
Even with my Stellia who are easy to drive, they sound much better with Cayin C9 than SP2K alone. I don't think the SP3K has the amp to show a headphone true potential.
I wonder if the SP3K can drive either the Verite Open and perhaps the LCD4?
Does the DAR feature works with MQA music? I'm using Tidal with Roon alot and sadly we don't have acces to Qobuz here in Canada.Onto my third day with the SP3000 and I am enjoying it more and more.
My ears aren’t sensitive enough to tell much a difference with the various digital filters. However the DAR feature is rather good. Van Morrison - The Healing Game wav file sounds tremendous. The depth and separation are the best I’ve heard to date.
Still bloody slow to start up though and show folders menu. But nothing is perfect.
I note it takes at least twice as long as the SP2000. I wonder if it is that the new operating system/display is so graphical compared to old system.I have at this time only 170 gb on the internal storage
NOMAX
Don’t think so. Just shows mqa light and 48khz/mqa.Does the DAR feature works with MQA music? I'm using Tidal with Roon alot and sadly we don't have acces to Qobuz here in Canada.
My SP2000T takes 25 seconds to start up, both internal memory (also 256GB) and 1TB card are full of music. Folder browsing is fast, no problems. The SP2000t runs on a so called "ultra slow samsung exynos processor"....so I hope AK will improve the system speed on the SP3000...it runs on a ultra fast snapdragon processor...I note it takes at least twice as long as the SP2000. I used to think the SP2000 took an age but its on amphetamines compared to the SP3000

Yes, startup time with my 532GB sd card is about 1:45min from drop start button to shows the artwork of the last playing album. this is a very long time - JasonNYC can you say something about a planning firmware update to faster the startup time?Could a large number of files on memory disk prolong startup time? I use my N8ii only for streaming and it starts up in 16.25 secs.
