@JasonNYC I can supply you photos of the unit after the repair and you can compare it with this photo. This is a good comparison as this is the same side that has all the dents. See for yourself how the repair guys destroyed the aluminum lip.

Terrible. Oh yes, I'm going on and on now as this is really terrible support.
Can you send me specific details via PM please?

Hi Jason, any chance that the SE180 will be able to support Roon Arc?
Still waiting to hear more about this. It should as it meets the minimum requirements set by Roon. We had a discussion about Roon Arc last week and waiting for an update from the software teams. Currently the Roon Arc app does not support bit-perfect playback on DAPs. What is also delaying it a bit on our end before we support it on other players is as we get a lot of support questions with the SP3000, which has Roon Arc available, on why is playback not bit-perfect. It is an Roon issue with the design of the Roon Arc app and it is on their development roadmap to fix it.

Thanks for that. Hopefully something will happen on this, but I do find the Arc app is still useful in being able to stream my Roon content to the SE180 via bluetooth while out and about. But obviously it would sound (much) better if it was an app on the unit - and especially if it was bit-perfect.

I have the SEM2, but have exclusively been using the SEM4 since it arrived. I found the SEM2 warmer than the stock module, but a little congested. SEM4 is checking all the boxes for me.
Does it using DAR drain the battery quicker?

I haven’t measured comparative battery life, but any difference is not noticeable to me in normal use.
Thank you for that reply..much appreciated. I have recently purchased the 180 and I noticed when out of the case and plugged in and charging (this sounds silly.!!) that the sides of the player when touched lightly cause my finger tips to "tingle" very slightly. If unplugged it stops immediately. It is as if I am picking up a very small electric current.!! I know it sounds silly but I can feel it every time on the players bare metal case when it is charging. I have never seen this mentioned in any thread but I just wondered if anyone else has had this experience?

I didn’t notice a difference, DAR on or off, but the SEM4 battery life is improved over the other modules. Update. I’ve been using AirPods Pro (while travelling light) and B&O’s PX8s, usually wired. Because both are on the warmer side I’m back to SEM1, and it’s a nice combination.

Could someone help me out with one thing.

I just bought the se180, but when I use folder view, everytime I want to go back it throws me back in the root folder (which is annoying as hell).

My folder structure is perfectly organized in File Type, Genre, Artists and Album names.

I have many music folders, and also sub folders per artist and genres. So if I go in Folder Root- Lossless\Jazz\Maceo Parker\Album-xxx, I play a album, if I go back, it keeps throwing me in main 'root' folder instead of the folder I was browsing 'Maceo Parker'

Am I doing something wrong? yes album view is nice if you have 50 albums I have 1TB of albums, in all kind of genres. that's why I use folder view.

Hi. On my SE180 - in Folder view - I have The Beatles selected, for example. All their 'album' folders listed in alphabetical order. At the top left, right under the Notification menu is '<- TheBeatles.' Touching just that left pointing arrow(<-) backs me up to all the 'A-D' artist's folders (Aaron Copland, Adam LaMotte, Al DiMeola, etc.) on the previous page. At the top left of that menu page is '<- A-D'. Again, tapping the arrow brings me back to the previous page, 'FLACs' (repeat for Hi-res, Music, then Folder) So I am definitely able to navigate back, in the reverse order, as I browsed to a particular selection. The Floating Back button, if enabled, behaves the exact same way.
