Are the AKG K66s in any way indicative of any of AKG's sound signature?

A buddy of mine had a set of these lying around, so I borrowed them to check them out on my setup.

FWIW, these things actually don't sound all that bad at all.

Just curious if these cans are at all similar to any of the present day AKG lineup...?

If I'm right the 66 we're Low-teir in the AKG Line-up to begin with... the companys sound signature isnt bad at all & alot of their units do out perform others in the respective price ranges. if your indirectly asking if you should look into getting AKG headphones then do so... others will be better with helping you on what model.

I've tried the K44... Its tone and timbre reminded me of my K701... and that's about it, lol.
