I assume you now have AAC codec support (I ask as I am on dev build so have had for a while)?
I only did the betas and recently came off when 22H2 got released. So, if it's not in 22H2, I haven't got it yet.

AAC support in Windows 11 is live since first official release. I mean I upgraded to Win11 right when I was able to and it was there.

I just ordered Intel Wi-fi 6e AX210 + pcie to M.2 card since my MB have only one, already accupied M.2 slot. I will reuse pigtails from dead routerboard and it should work.

Just watch the size as m2 card have tiny MHF4 size (not same as MINI-PCI, very easy to mash.

You would have been better buying that Gigabyte model or similar as it come all ready to plug into a PCI-E slot and plug in an internal USB 2.0 cable.

Any USB device I have used on the Shield works, the last was the KB9P recently.

It got me aptX Adaptive 24/96 so same bitrate as built in LDAC confirmed via PowerAmp and by the Dongles LED colour and all other codecs SBC/AAC/aptX/aptX HD/LDAC (no aptX LL) via PowerAmp and the FiiO Neckbands LED colour.
Hello,

You seem quite knowledgeable in this area.

May i ask what the benefit is of USB Bluetooth dongle for Shield if using LDAC as Shield already has built in LDAC?

May i ask why didn’t use the built in Ldac on Shield? Perhaps due to latency lip sync.

I used the KB9P USB Dongle as a test and it was to get aptX Adaptive, I think you may have read that I also tested it with the FiiO BTA30 PRO which does LDAC but again it was only out of curiosity if it would work or not and the only real benefit would be aptX LL which the Shield does not support.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BthA2dp\Parameters]

"BluetoothAacEnable"=dword:00000000

Prefer aptX over AAC.
How do you set this? I am on Windows 11 Home 22H2, but I do not have [Parameters] in my Registry

I just changed laptops so I have to ask: Is there a MacOS version of "Dongle Assistant", or is it Windows only?

I have the older K8 version of the dongle, and of course it cannot connect to any of my TWS devices without the app. So, I guess if there isn't any MacOS version available, the dongle is useless for now.
The dongle assistant is not available for Mac.

Create a virtual PC with VMware Fusion Player. It’s free for non-commercial use.

Can you confirm this is really for the KB8P? The KB8 cannot be changed with the Dongle Assistant.

My KB8P is currently on fw v1.5.
