What is the easiet way to get info about how to get it with usb c or a connector and flash the software? What software is required?
You'll need to get this development board (available on AliExpress):

They have a little hiss noise in the background but is it's not annoying like someone said. it's barely noticeable only in complete silence.
Which together makes up a very large part of my total PC-usage.
If you're sensitive to an elevated noise floor, something worth considering before purchase. Or buy from somewhere that offers 30day returns

I returned mine, even in heavy usage scenarios (used mine for 3 weeks), theres moments I'm not blasting my ears with audio and that little hum/hiss of static is annoying enough to think I'm hearing tinnitus. E.g. In-between dialog boxes playing Baldurs Gate 3, track changes or the long startup to a song with subtle audio.

Quite the drag because they're great for gaming. positional sound, all that.

Fun discovery I’d like to confirm sometime soon.

Purchased this transmitter/receiver:

1Mii Bluetooth 5.3 Transmitter Receiver for TV to Wireless Headphones, Dual Link AptX Adaptive/Low Latency/HD Audio, Aux Adapter for Home Stereo, Airplane, Boat, Gym https://a.co/d/dfCkubU

I use it with an eppfun usbc transmitter on an android device. For fun I tried using it on my iPhone 12 to transmit aptx adaptive to the 1Mii but the iPhone gave a power consumption error.

I connected the 1Mii to the iPhone's built-in bluetooth and as expected the codec defaulted to SBC (blue light). But for fun I double pressed the button on the 1Mii and it actually switched to another color!

The manual states blue (sbc), white (aptx ll), green (aptx hd), and orange (aptx adaptive). The light was a teal/white color. does that mean this supports AAC too? or is this just a glitch? I really doubt this is aptx LL.

is this Mac console trick still the best way to tell what codec is being used? Or is there an easier way to tell on an iPhone?

LE Audio for now is only LC3 (LC3+ when it appears) and it is only to replace SBC not compete with aptX family.

AFAIK aptX will sometime in future work over LE audio but I read LDAC will not be able to do so unless a new version is released.
