Looks like its official. Classics are not in the new lineup. A 64gb Touch is the top, at $399

64gb for $399?

Is there a published ipod collection somewhere then? Link?

I was just following the live blog on engadget of today's event. I don't think they've published the final lineup on the site yet.

They've gone over the "featured" iPods, but nothing explicit yet about dropping the old one.

Disappointing apple event so far, no real new products, just some new chips for an iPhone 4.

They aren't discontinuing it. It's still for $249.

from anandtech:
I expect the iPod Classic will be discontinued, but cannot confirm or deny this at this time - the product was absent from Apple's slides, for what that's worth. Update: I'm now reading that the iPod Classic is still mentioned in Apple's press release: the 160GB model wil run $249.

So, 250$ for 160gb, or 400$ for 64? Apple, you funny sometimes

I thought the silver one was already available for purchase.

Interesting - I guess I misunderstood the slide that was with the caption - "So that's iPod and the iPod lineup"

If they are going to keep carrying it (and hopefully supporting it), but just not update it, I'm ok with that for a while.

I don't believe that Amazon unit is the newest because (1) the initial reports are the new one may not have a click wheel but more importantly (2) they're listing some as "used"  How could they have used products on something just introduced today???

There was no classic introduced today.
