Anyone Enjoy Smoking The Hookah?

Hookah is a great pastime

I own two decent sized (2-hose personal type) hookah's and have made my own bases and bowls.

Me and some friends used to always go to hookah bars too....just haven't been since the summertime.

I don't think its much of a health issue considering the frequency people use their hookahs. For instance, even if one was to smoke a hookah daily, its still less damage than a person who smokes cigarettes. Plus, its cooled smoke, dunno if that matters though.

Before you know it, barbers will be offering bloodletting services again, and this will revitalize yet another "great" trend and remove even more of the annoying limits we modern-day humans face with spending our free time

Mr Ninja, have you had the Flamin' Hot Funyuns? They're pretty good, I'm not a fan of the original funyuns though.

While in Hawaii a year ago, believe I saw wasabi funyuns. It might have been cheetos though.

Don't tease me now! I'd be very upset if the if the blood letting trend didn't come back!

LostOne.TR you are right in your beliefs. The buzz is basically lack of oxygen and nicotine. You're inhaling smoke that replaces the oxygen. MD1032 is right with saying it isn't healthy. Not sure how healthy it is compared to cigarettes, but inhaling smoke can't be healthy in anyway.

Coconut Rum and Pineapple sounds exciting. I'll have to see what we can acquire.

yeh...I was kinda turned off from the lack of oxygen part. The whole different flavors thing was pretty interesting. It seems really popular among college students, though I've never taken much interest.

@Marzie: I'm pretty sure you're right, I do remember someone mentioning wasabi funyuns. I've not tried them though. The flamin' hot funyuns, I recommend. There previously was a "snack finder" thing on the dorito's website. I'm not sure if it's there right now, the layout looks diff and was causing my laptop to run hot, so I closed the window.

Oh hell yeah! I love sheesha and have it regularly, definitely a couple times a week.

I did quit smoking cigarettes a few years ago, but I do enjoy a good sheesha instead. Just in case people need a point of reference : Sheesha, Hookah, Narghilah, Arghila; there are lots of names and spellings, but the object is still the same, it's a great water pipe.

It's not as bad as people suspect - the water takes care of most of the tar and impurities of the tobacco, and the tobacco itself is pure and does not contain the 400+ chemicals that cigarettes do. Of course it's not "healthy" nor is it "good for you", but it's definitely not as bad as other "habits".

Anybody in the San Francisco area, check out "Pride of the Mediterranean" - I'm there a couple times a week with every headphone I have, so don't be surprised if I'm there with a diyMod, Sonicap Dock, PPAS and a pair of Deep Darth Beyers, chilling out with one of the personal sheeshas (a guy that works there has his own, some serious equipment) and reading my latest medical book (hobby of mine to learn about health).

Last nights Hookah was great. We smoked grape with some lemon juice squeezed over the tobacco. 7up was in the base. Everyone left feeling light headed and ready for bed.

Our hookah sessions are getting quite popular here.

7up in the base?! That sounds seriously weird, and no doubt you've killed A LOT of brain cells, the stuff they put in those drinks to make them "fizzy" are some of the worst chemicals for the human body.

Next time, try mixing a few shots of Vodka in with the water (not too much though, it will taste bad otherwise), it's likely more effective at giving you a buzz and MUCH healthier.

Mountain Dew is great to put in the base. If you can get any Blue Mist, mix some of that with White Peach and you'll be in for a treat.

Mmmmm, fun.

I had the tobacco free one when i was 14 at my dads friends, she'd just come back from abroad with a bong.

Was fun, sort of relaxing. Had bananna flavour, and apple tobbaco, and just water in the base. Will have to get my own oneday, justfor social gatherings when im older. Only tobacco free though, i dont ever plan on smoking tobacco.

Only had a couple of totes.

Her dog had made my asthma really bad, so the Hookah didnt help!!

Mountain Dew sounds great! Tomorrow night we are going to do milk with chocolate tobacco. Either that or cappuccino in the base and chocolate tobacco... such a hard choice!

If you can get like an iced cappuccino or some kind of iced or cold coffee drink, that would probably be ideal, right? That way the smoke can be cooled more.

I've always wanted to try hookah with snow cone in the base. You know, just a bunch of flavored, shaved and crushed ice. Man I can't even imagine how smooth and cool the smoke would be.
