Anyone Enjoy Smoking The Hookah?

Year and a half old? Time to revive. Better bring back an oldie than start something new, right?

I've been into Nargileh (hookah) for about 7 years now. Lately I've been smoking 3-5 times a week, and getting pretty good at setting the whole rig up. I feel qualified to offer a few points to change the tenor of this thread somewhat:

1) Putting vodka, 7up, coffe, etc. in the base is nonsense. Liquids don't impart much taste when filtering vapors. As always, though, Manaox is right about the milk. Smoke clouds are always fun.

2) Much like headphones, shisha (flavored molasses tobacco) is very dependent on brands. One company's mango is terrible, while the next might be extremely mouth watering. In general, you do well smoking Nakhla, Al Fakher, or Tangiers. Avoid herbal (soex), HookahHookah, and HookahFreak. Starbuzz is tasty, but overpriced.

3) Quicklite coals are harmful to your health if used improperly. Make sure you light them outside, don't breathe in the initial fumes, and get rid of all the silver garbage. Then you're cool.

3) Buying your hookah from a local headshop is a sure way to get ripped off. They charge 2-3x what good online stores charge, and carry poorly made junk. It's much smarter to buy online. For the price of a small, cheap 2 hose Chinese knockoff in a head shop, you can have one of these:

So hey, let's talk about hookahs, huh?

We've got a great Lebanese and Greek resturant out here named Taz that does Hookahs outside. No longer allowed indoors in this state. I don't smoke anymore, as I said in the Good Cigarettes? thread but I do love Taz's food. They serve 'to die' for gyros and baklava.

ROFLMAO. With all the bad habits we humans, especially americans have, you never know what may come back to bite us, so to speak. I can see it now, bloodletting spa right next to the coffee enema shop.
