Who knows? Putting the idea out here, where the developer stays in touch can't hurt though. I wonder if we should start a thread just for the app, could maintain a running wishlist of features there for the dev to attend to as they are able?

They ought to open a public Jira so we can directly input bug reports and feature requests. We could also schedule the due dates for when we want our new features delivered. Just say'in.

Just tried my T-Mo Note 3 with a USB3.0 otg cable into my Centrance Dacmini....
 
Neutron and Poweramp both worked fine, and sounded pretty good.   I may try later with my Leckerton 6-MK2 and my Headstreamer as well....  Don't really use my phone for audio playback much, since I also have a Cowon X7 and a Hifiman 901....

 +1.  As an MOT, I don't believe Davy can start the thread, but one of us can, and given its importance to the world of portable audio, I think it makes perfect sense. NZ, you wanna do the honors, since this is your thread?

Does anyone know if a Pantech Discover with Jelly Bean will support a DAC? Would really help me out knowing this information.  I downloaded USB OTG Checker and my device does have it. However, I am not sure if it has USB audio. If it doesn't, is downloading the USB Audio Player PRO a generally universal fix? I am trying to find out if my device is USB-host enabled, but am not having much luck.

BTW I have read a lot of this thread and understand almost nothing in it, so the simpler the better.

If it has USB OTG (sounds like it from your check), but does not have inbuilt support for USB audio then yes, USB Audio Player PRO *should* work (there is a trial version, so you can check without risk). If you are using UAPP then of course you are limited to playback in that app only.

Thanks for the reply. Is there anyway to check this without purchasing a DAC? And if not, would any USB DAC work or is my best bet to get one that is specific to Android?

There are theoretically ways to know in advance whether a device would work, but there are enough variables that it's essentially a crapshoot however you go about it. As far as which kind of DACs to look at, there's no better resource that DanBa's list, so I would most definitely start there to get a feel for what works and what doesn't. 
 
Ultimately, you'll probably just have to pull the trigger on something unless you have an audio shop nearby, so I'd look for places with a decent return policy. Or if there are any Head-Fi meets near you, stop in and check it out-- you might find all the info you're needing and more, particularly if you talk to other participants beforehand and see if anybody has some of the gear you're interested in.
