Why wouldn't it be?

Verza compatibility is a bit hit or miss. I own one and while it works perfectly with a stock Galaxy S3, it doesn't work with a stock Galaxy S4. I've had luck installing custom ROMs on unsupported devices, like the original Galaxy Note, and using USB Audio Player Pro, but most ROMs break the native USB audio implementation.

Honestly, if i didn't have a Galaxy S3 with the docking Metallo case to go with my Verza I would never use it. It's been 4 years since the Verza came out and there are much better options available today.

I think some of this may have to do with how newer DACs are more energy efficient. For example, the new DragonFlys use less power than other USB-powered DACs, so they're often compatible with most newer phones.

Perhaps you can override such settings in your phone by rooting, however.

Use the powered USB hub trick if power is an issue?

Have Usb-c otg for my V20 and it works for my M2Tech Hiface DAC. My GO1K needs extra power and bought another otg/mhl adapter w/ additional another Usb-c port for power.

If anyone was curious, my Schiit Modi Multibit, which is AC-powered, does not need a USB hub. I just connect standard USB cable and a standard OTG cable, and I can send the signal from my LG V10. I just wish it also charged my phone like my Sound Blaster X7 did, but other than that, it works great.

I have an old HTC Desire, but that one didn't work.

The Dragonfly Red series looks pretty good specs-wise, but it looks like the manufactures only provided micro-USB support, not USB C.

I don't think that matters.

Hi, can anyone confirm that small dac / amp works on Lenovo with android 5.0.1?

I have the FiiO e17k and although it recognizes it by OTG, it does not work on 24/96.
With the Nexus 6 in 7.0 I have no problem

I do not use third party apps ... it's to listen google play music in streaming

Thanks

Nexus devices will usually default to 16/44.1 unless you use a third party app.

What rate are you getting on the Nexus 6?

Hi Roen, when plugging the Fiio to the Nexus and when playing music in google play is placed on 24/96

That does not happen with Lenovo 5.0.1 ... it just stays on 16/44

For that reason I am looking for a small dac / amp to use it in Lenovo, better the smaller and portable.

regards
