I'd check the actual legislation in your country, here in NZ shipping costs are meant to be included in duties calculations.

The LG G2 and UHA760 pairing is connected and working well.  Streaming from Google Music, the sound itself is very good.  But the intermittent pops have degraded my listening experience.

Just connected a usb powered hub inbetween the DAC and RAY and now it sounds fantastic playing HIREZ 24bit FLAC truly budget setup, and not forgetting the brilliant mh1 headphones that are supplied with the RAY!

Hi cattlethief,
Just wondering whether you are able to use your Ray setup to listen to Spotify through the dac/amp?
I'm tempted to get one if I could use it with the FiiO E18 or another similar dac/amp which wouldn't need the powered hub between it and the phone.
( Spotify being my primary goal )

Have you used other music player, in particular USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP)?

Well most of my music is in Google's cloud service, and with the Usb dac taking up the slot, I can't load up music through usb storage.  Also, the sound quality from the G2 is just squash compared uha760, or most any reputable source/amp.

No I can only use the USB Audio player, when I switch to spotify or the phones player the sound switches to headphone out,I also have the Sony Z which outputs usb in spotify. The hub i used was a cheap unpowered hub,I dont need it with the Fiio E7(usb charge off in the menu) only with the stoner Accoustics DAC.

If you do buy a Sony Xperia Ray,stay clear of the O2 ones they wont allow an ICS update, which is required to use the OTG function.

Using other means of playing music is rather to detect the cause of the abnormal "intermittent pops"'.

Thanks man.
Sadly it looks like the only option that'll satisfy my needs is one of the newer Sony phones like yours ( probably the Z1 compact ) but I reckon I'll have to wait about a year until it's affordable for the likes of me.

Links to cables or any other gear will be appreciated. I'm going away from a desktop setup that is great but cannot be used as much so I rather have a pretty good portable setup that I can use everywhere.

You could always try a Moto G. First off, it lacks an SD card slot. And LTE.

Otherwise it's an effective and affordable mobile Spotify with USB DAC/amp solution. The 8GB model retails unlocked for about €150 new.

Should plug and play with just about any USB DAC when running OS 4.2.2.
