Hi Neker,

I have the k701's and for your budget I would recommend a used Headroom Micro Amp.  I think if you get lucky you can find them for around $175 which is a little over your budget but worth it since it has the power to drive the K701's with room to spare.  I use one with a home module upgrade (better sound but worse battery life) and an ALO Cotton Doc.  That combo really shines but the LOD cable costs more than your $150 budget.  Depending on your source you can also find a used Micro Dac to round out the system when you get some extra cash.  I think there are pairs of dac/amps on ebay for $350 right now.

I can't comment on the Filo E9 since I've never heard it.

The Objective2 is little over you budget if you buy it assembled but its the cheapest I know of with the proper specs.  The E9's specs aren't perfect for the K701 but its cheaper than the Objective2 and its probably close enough.

my opinion, save for a matrix m-stage, or O2.

Audio-gd NFB11/12, save for them.

The 701 is the most dificult phone to get dynamic and just ok bass, and the sound is just so dependant on the amp power. The NFB series is a steal and the right thing that happened especially for the 701.

In many ways its an idiotic phone for the amps that would normally be thrown at it. Buy a different phone, or get at least nfb11 power, otherwise it sounds lame and boring. Had the audio-gd nfb11/12 series been available at the time 701 was introduced, i think the reception had been diferent.
