Now time to burn, burn, burn...

First impression... Compared to another Amp8 mod done in HK...
1. Slightly wider sound stage
2. A bit more holographic
3. A better feel on high pitch, a bit more emotion from violin sound...
4. The bass is pretty solid straight out. Powerful, but with a bit more rumble..
Hopefully can have more surprise after the burn-in...

Interesting. I reverted back to 1.13.202 because of issues with the current FW and large drop in output when EQ is turned on. It was a bit of an obstacle course to go back but eventually got it done.

Good luck - hope you find a solution that doesn't involve sending hardware back...

Tried swapping the amp to AMP9 and also resetting with the AndroidTool. Same result. Broken volume knob.
Still waiting Paul to answer my message. Oh this sucks.

I got a call from DHL Express Germany, if they have your phone number, i assume they will also call you.

Here in Germany it meant that eventually the DHL customs department would contact you and ask you to provide proof of payment. They want to verify that the 22 USD that were declared for the packet are the actual value of the item. In our case it meant they will take your payment and calculate the VAT and customs that you owe.

I've just been told by DHL Express that it will be 60€ extra upon delivery. Luckily I could postpone delivery into January so that they will attempt a second delivery after my vacation.

60 Euros, ouch! I paid 170 DKK here in Denmark for it, which is standard.

So the new amp gets burned in, bad thing for people who were looking to buy used Amp8s, I'll probable keep the AMP8 fidelizer mod I have, i may end up buying DX220 for my gf too and install it there. I'm slowly introducing her to this world
