Need an amp/ DAC for my Shure SRH840s.

Right now my options are:

1. Fiio E7
2. iBasso D2+ Boa

Which one is better? Is the D2+ worth the extra $60?

As far as Amps go, I currently run my SRH840's through a Pa2v2 and they sound great!  I dont run a DAC, what are you using as a source?

I'm using my realtek hd soundcard, so not very good, I think it would be aproppiate to use a DAC too, am I right?

Hmmm, I have no experience with DAC's as my gear is used in a portable setup with my D2/Clip as source.  From what I understand DAC's only make a subtle improvement in sound.  But again, I have not used one, so my opinion is based on hearsay.  If I had to recommend one that you listed, I would go with the ibasso, I have read good things about it.

Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in on the issue...

Anyway, enjoy your SRH840's great sounding cans!

Radu, how do you have the gain on your PA2V2 set up?  I too have SRH840's going through the PA2V2 and am trying to figure out how to best do the gain.  It seems able to handle high gain but I get static whenever there's no music coming through.
