I just pulled the trigger on one of these babies in hopes of it replacing my KSC-75s for music and general use in my dorm.

What differences can I expect from the MS-1s coming from KSC-75s?

Also to Canadian MS-1 owners: How long did it take for your MS-1s to arrive from ordering to receiving at your door? Also, did you receive any sort of confirmation e-mail once they were shipped?

As i have both the KSC-75 and the MS1's I have to say the MS1's have more detail and they are a little more laid back. Also, they have very similar sound signature. I am not sure about the shipping date due to the fact I don't live in Canada anymore.

Hi,

I have just registered in head-fi. After one week of intensive reading I decided to order my MS-1s. I have to say that Alessandro answered all my e-mails quite fast. I sent them around 10 because I had some problems with the credit card. Yesterday , they were finally able to run it and told me "your order will ship today via Airmail" .They will be my first high quality headphones . Prior to these ones I had Sennheiser MX500 which broke in less than one year, and currently I'm using Sony MDR E819V. I hope I did the correct decission. Firstly I tried with a pair of PX100, but they are overpriced here in Spain ,they cost around 40-50 Euro so I decided to spend a little more and buy the Alessandro MS-1 for 67 Euro.Perhaps I will reconsider the Shenneiser for portable use but the MS-1 seems to be far superior and deserve the extra money. Aren't they?
I'm a little worried about the bass, but not too much because it's not a priority for me .Is it so weak ? Which pads would I pick up instead of the standard ones in order to improve bass ? . I apologize for my bad English.

I live in New Brunswick, and it took my Ms-1's a little over a week to arrive. As far I can remember, there was no confirmation email once they were shipped.

Hope you enjoy the MS-1's. I love mine.

That's good to hear. I checked my credit card history and it has been charged on the 10th so I'm guessing they're already well on their way here! I just hope I won't get hit too hard with duties/customs/brokerage/tax. D:

What do you guys think about the built quality of these?

Not great, however the only quality issues are usually only cosmetic or the cups falling off as you may have already read. Its also uncommon to see the actual headphones break if thats what your worried about.
