Picked one up. Wasn’t getting the full experience until it hooked em up to some power. Oh my. They really do come alive and are something special when they’re well-fed.

Was tiprolling this weekend and much to my pleasant surprise I had a very good experience with the tips from my OnePlus Bullets Wireless v2.

They don't sit perfectly on the nozzles, but I got an excellent seal, very comfortable and no degradation of audio quality.

YMMV of course!

the more i read about k3003, the more tempting i want to try since im used to HD800 tuning. But yeah, i dont use stock HD800 though. I have SDR mod and massive eq. But with that eq, i find no other headphones can do the same. I cant live with any closer soundstage.

Wonder k3003 can be at the same level for an iem.

Ok so I got a topping NX4 and really am not feeling it yet. The cans are great. I think I may need to return the NX4 for something with better portability. I’m super into convenience.

Anyone care to chime in on their portable rigs?

Also, these do seem power hungry. Are people running their rigs with these in the higher output modes?

It’s definitely a totl/reference class iem. Definitely more bass than the 800.

It’s still an iem, though. If you want MASSIVE soundstage: audeze i4

i4 is out of my price range for a portable solution. Lucky that isine 20 with/without cipher is on mail. Is that good? I almost lose hope on portable solution now... tried A LOT even with highly praised andros, it still doesnt suit my preference

edit: well at least, out of sudden ive tried the AKG earbuds provided with S10plus sounds freaking damn good with a proper eq. Cant believe how wide the soundstage for this small in ear earbuds. This is why actually im looking for k3003... but i should hold my crap first and wait for my isine20.

I use a Chord Mojo and I find the combination just amazing. I agree they are power hungry and also very revealing of the source quality.

Yeah I have the 20, it’s got a much bigger soundstage than the AKG but is less portable... which is why I have both lol

I think the new Dragonfly Cobalt would pair great with the N5005.

With my ES100 the N5005 is only at -20db, whereas most stuff is at -30db (give or take some). A bit more power hungry but nothing major.

i'm surprised you're saying these a power hungry -- maybe they're not sealing properly in your ear?

i'm driving these with my iphone SE without any issues or having to jack up the sound to anything above the norm.

I also found these quite power hungry yes they work out of iPhone but you need an amp to get the most out of these.

Once paired with a good amp they sound just soooo good

any idea how N5005 compares to Fiio FH-7? Given the amazon price, they are similar in price
