Do you have website Links for these cables or will I easily find them via a search?

Bispa 【MMCX to 3.5mm】 リケーブル <奏-Kanade> BSP-HPCL-TBCEPMM https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B078K4XJTH/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dbJeDbPK0P8Z6

onso 04 3.5(3極)-MMCX(L/R) イヤホンケーブル 1.2m iect_04_ub3m_120 https://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B0761SW217/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ncJeDb93RCXSJ

Those are two examples. You can use the search function for different models and plugs (balanced, 3.5 mm and so on).

I'm still counting on AKG making a 3.5mm without the remote.

That cable already exists. It comes as a bundle on japanese AKG N5005 version. The model is AKG CN-120. It comes in 3.5mm and balanced 2.5mm. It is available in Amazon Japan. Unfortunately, they don't ship to my country, but you may be able to buy it, depending on your location.

Good to know. The quest begins....

[Edit]- Cable even though packaged with Japan N5005 doesn't look the same as the cables with the NA version. I prefer the look of the cables packaged with the non-Japanese version. Amazon.com list the CN120 at almost $200 incl. shipping. eBay also has for same or higher price.

Sorry, I don't know what you mean by NA version, but as far as I know, they sell the CN120 as an upgrade cable (6N copper...). Amazon Japan sells it for around USD 117 minus Japan taxes for international orders, plus shipping. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I could but I also prefer the look of the standard braided cables. I just don't like the microphone and volume control and maybe they affect the sound quality, at least a little bit.

BTW, that red Vermillion cable looks awesome! Regards.

North American version, or rest of world outside Japan perhaps.

You can see my post buried way back in this thread on the Vermilion.

Why not just use the balanced cable with an adapter like this, it's what I do when using my desktop setup that doesn't have a balanced input.

https://www.amazon.com/BL35-3-5mm-2-5mm-Female-Audio/dp/B07FC1RDDG

I have adapters. Just on the go I prefer not using extra add-ons due to extra 'bulk' and chance of breakage.

I read in a Netherlands site review that the N5005 doesn't use a crossover. It says: "...These controllers are constructed in such a way that no separation filter is required. And the lack of this only has advantages. The construction method can not only be much more compact, but also contributes to less distortion, a better impedance course and better phase behavior."

Can anybody confirm this information?

Highly doubt that to be honest.

I thought the same, how could that be possible? But I also found this information from e-earphone.jp blog, translated from Japanese using Google translator: "As with the flagship model K3003, it
is tuned to acoustic without using any electrical network"

It seems that is the information AKG gave the reporters during product launch.

Edit: Also, this Korean site has some interesting N5005 graphs. The one with the phase response looks great to me, almost as flat as a single driver earphone.

That's awesme, but I highly doubt that it was possibvle without any kind of crossover, this is what I'm thinking. Not necessarily that they couldn't get an almost perfect crossover, but I doubt it would be possible to make an IEM with multiple drivers without one.

Unless maybe you'd very custom design the drivers inside, which would be rather time and resources consuming just to avoid a crossover :)

Seems that crossover-free designs are actually possible, and there's one more company that implements them, Final Audio :)

Funny stuff, where the tech has gotten :)

I have the Final Audio B series which does feature crossover-free setups, and MAN, I love that series, they created some really interesting IEMs, but I doubt that the fact they are crossover-free played as much of a role in the sound as the drivers themselves.

Also Audiosense T800 is crossover-free.
Check out the Audiosense thread, the T800 is a great sounding IEM
