I agree that if AKG uses their typical earpad measurements here, it would provide some interesting options to owners of the headphone in question here, but also other AKG models that can now don yet another pad material.
Does AKG use the k70x/k60x style driver in closed headphones? I know the k271 uses the relatively small driver capsule that they use in the k240S, which AKG uses a similar (sometimes smaller still) version of elsewhere as well. The k70x/60x driver is a much larger varimotion breed.
AHHHHHH, i had decided that the Sony Z1000 would be my next can but these are very tempting , i love the numbering on the headband, thank god AKG have made a proper (read : can be worn outside) headband!
Hope they used a nice mil-spec anodizing at the least. That's not going to look nice all scuffed up. I'm still quite curious how bad sweaty ear syndrome will be.
So these will be called the Timothy Dalton's I take it.
Well perhaps the marketing people haven't done such a good job, they are a cancer before anyone has had a chance to listen to them. I think the reference to Apple products may be a hint that they are supposed to be efficient. Whether people like it or not, Apple devices have a large percentage of the portable market and many headphone brands will reference compatibility to their products when marketing their efficient/portable models.
