So now I voted for "my team" - there you have it!

I wasn't going to vote since I don't know the K340, but I do love the Lambda so I'll vote for "my team" and cancel your vote. Who says that two wrongs don't make a right.

The only semi-nice headphones I've seen were at Guitar Center and they're all closed. Sad times.

Get in touch with Headfier randerson3024. He's based in OK and is loaded with Stax gear. He is in the service and is away a lot, but I think he comes home from time to time.

I feel with you!

I am pleased that I live in a city with lots of great High-Fi stores. Were its possible to audition Stax (everything but the 4070), Sennheiser, AKG, Grado (even RS1 and GS1000), Beyerdynamic, Denon, and more.

billinkansas,

thanks for undoing my mistake!
I am watching the for sale forum for Stax, but at the moment there is nothing there...

Faust2D,
as long as it is understood that I will visit you if ever (again) I am in NYC we have a date

And I seriously hope to visit the City that never sleeps in 2008....

Just good fun. Seriously though, I think the Lambdas are special and worth waiting for.

Yeah, the Stax kung-fu is strong.

Stax kung-fu

I like that. I really want to hear a bass light moded K340, I wounder if any of them will make it to the NYC meet. I might clear time from work just for that.

Damn, that's cutting it a little close for me. I wish I had noticed it sooner.

Ditto that. If only it was actually in the city, I'd have a better chance of making it. Still, maybe.

I would really love to try some STAXes or a K340 before I buy some, but will just have to wait for a meet. Thank goodness there are meets!

AudioConcepts Demonstrator / Used List

Audio Concepts on Preston road is a Stax and Grado dealer. They have
everything out to listen to with a good source and amps. They also have a demo Stax system on sale, too!
