[Faust2D]

There have been a lot of discussions, comparisons and lengthy reviews that went over all of the virtues and faults of these headphones. I don't want to star another thread like this. I want this to be a simple headcount for people that had both and preferred one over the other.

There are a lot of Lambda flavors, and apparently a few K340 "unofficial" versions. Please list what flavors of Lambda or K340 you had and which headphones you like more. I will go first.

I happened to have what I think was bass heavy K340, SR-Lambda (normal bias) and SR-303 (Lambda Classic). I would pick both of my Lambdas over K340 any day.

I don't know what K340 version mine might have been, I don't know if its possible to even tell without comparing it to another K340. However it was to my ears not even the same sport as the Lambda (SR-202), nevermind the same league.

I have 3 K340s.... all different internally and sonics wise. I prefer the Lambda Pros and the 404s to them on probably 95% of the music I listen to.

Not a fair comparison...340 are Dynamic/electro..(But most dynamic) & Lambda is 100% electro.

replying to threads like this are pointless, as both headphones being compared are highly dependent on upstream electronics (especially amplifiers), personal preferences, etc.

Well I am just asking for people's experiences with certain headphones, in their systems for their ears. How is that pointless? I am not trying to say one is better than the other, just want to see how many people who had both, like one or the other better. Is satisfyingly my curiosity pointless?

It is a fair comparison. K340 has an interesting tonality and is pretty damn fast. But there seems to be pretty massive preference towards Lambdas amongst the current replies...
