Thanks music. May I know how much you get it for? I should contact A2A if they are able to source a pair

1,200€ / £1,000

Thanks for the info. Where can I get a 4 pole to 3 pole adapter. I assume they are not a common item. Akg should have included one in such an expensive headphone.

All "i" (remote/mic) models include an audio adapter cable:

Ok I see. What I meant was a 3.5 to 6.3 adapter should be included that converts the 4 to 3 pole.

For me to use the 3003 with desk top means I need to go through 2 adapers.

This is supposed to be a portable device. I think it would be much more important to include an assortment of tips & more tip sizes (4 instead of 3).

I maybe wrong, but mine does not work with iPhone 4S or 3 year old iPod nano.

Originally I had the "i" version and it did work with my 4G iPod Touch and I'm sure it works with the iPhone 4 & 4S.

got my new pair of AKG 3003 !...trying to settle to the new sounds , which is impressing me by the minute..
just one thing..my ears hurt because of the steel, and weight of the iem, gives a feeling its going to drop out of my ears..
ive ordered a triple flange tip from meelectronics..but the only size available was large....hope i can sustain the listening experience for longer without the discomfort and formulate my impressions of them!

i got the black ones, after reading your recommendation ..
Do they help with the discomfort..by positioning the steel farther from the ear?
Also, im concerned that the large might be too big, judging by the fact that my ears are small for the AKGs..

I find meelec tips to run a little smaller than other brands. Hopefully they fit you.

I don't find trips to be as comfortable as single flange tips in general but it could help you with how the housings sits in your ear. Hard to say for sure but I did find the treble to be really excellent with the trips.

Congrats and good luck!

Thanks Shotgunshane.
Will chime back, once the trips arrive.
On a side note,  I see that you have the TG334. Have you written your impressions comparing the two , someplace ?
I looked through this thread for your impressions...care to share?
My music taste is largely metal based, and Ive progressed from the EX1000 to the pfe232 n now to the AKGs to get the best out of the genre.
Would be too soon to tell you how I find the AKGs in this regard, but for a start, they are very bright, and Im enjoying the sub bass, most of all.
Reading that the TG334 has very forward mids, Im curious how they would render metal music.
Thanks !

I only had the K3003 for a few weeks as a loaner, so didn't have them at the same time as the TG334. However I do own the 1+2, which james444 thinks is very similar to the K3003, with minor differences. I'm planning on a comparison between those two and the Aurisonics AS-2 at some point. Work life has been insane lately.

Based on how you've progressed with iems, I think you made the right choice in the K3003. The TG334 is going to be darker in comparison and more focused on vocals. I like it with hard rock and metal but its a much different presentation from the EX100 and K3003. Because they are different enough, I think they compliment each other nicely. I really enjoy switching off between the TG344 and 1+2.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Look forward to the AS-2 comparisons.
I can sense how the tg334 sounds based on what you are saying...
So far, Im really enjoying the K3003, and hope some burn in brings out the mids further and deepens the bass.
