  Dont mind a bit of sarcasm once and awhile, but when its every other post and the talk is in riddles, it kinds of alienates a lot of people!

 
Yeah, you’re right! Those babbling people with no true knowledge about sound and who only have some inferior gear (especially the K3003) and just a few decades of experience should all be banned! I say, ban them all now! Especially when all they do is try to make us believe the true Head-Fi audiophiles (our true friends) aren’t the living axioms that they actually are. The more babbling fools being banned the better! If it was up to me, only sponsors and their supporters should be allowed on Head-Fi.

It's amazing how, er, thnthative, some folks can be. But some opinionated, head-strong and prolific posters get banned, some don't.
 
Personally, I think we should suck it up and accept that, short of actionable or personal (not to do with headphone-related opinion) attacks, it's all just free expression. I also think it's somewhat unfair that folks just disappear with no explanation as to why. But I don't run the joint, so I will shut up now.

Well, to me this thread without the sparrow would be like an IEM without a sound source, i.e. pretty useless, so personally I don't care, but I respect those who may not share my opinion, so I'm not going to insist on continuing the argument.

Well said! I definitely agree (although I personally wouldn't describe a certain sparrow as"opinionated and head-strong")!

I couldn't agree more about tonality. It's by far my number one consideration. Really looking forward to hearing the K3003. 

Hi gnarls, looking foward to your impressions of the k3003 especially how they compare with the f111 and er4. Although I'm secretly hoping that you find the k3003 better than the f111 to save me from having to buy the f111 and try it myself.

I was just telling this to a friend:
If you were asking me a year ago what the most important aspects are of a top performing iem were, I'd have said resolution, imaging and articulation. Over the last twelve months I've come to realize that above ALL, tonality means more to me and is by far the number one criteria. Tonality, instrument realism, vocal engagement are what keep you interested and coming back for more. And in these categories, the k3k is simply the best in my book. I couldn't be happier I bought it.

Ha, you fell victim to the k3003 tour. It's ok, I still feel the same way about them despite being on my third pair after 21 months of ownership. They are my go to for anything acoustic.

They still have my favorite treble and I kept them over the 1+2 (which I kept over the TG334).

Instrument realism. Ex: Does brass sound like brass or steal or some other kind of metal.

I prefer the word timbre rather than tonality to describe the accurate portrayal or realism of instruments. For my full size headphones that is why I reach for my LCD-3 because I cannot find anything else that makes the piano sound as it should (I am a pianist)

I do not believe I have enough experience to judge the K3003, though since I got them I realised how crap some of my music was...... These bad boys are brutal at exposing that
