It seems like the AKG k181 cans are on-ear or supraaural. I was looking for an over-ear closed back. I currently own a pair of k518 DJ. I was looking at the Tiesto series as it the reviews said it qualifies as a hi-fi headphone instead of just DJ uses.

Exactly. A big step up.

Would it be rude to ask the few owners of the k267 to step up and provide some impressions?

Looks like yes, it would.

What I'm start to thinking is that that was "bluff"

I already tried that and got sass for my troubles.

Don't worry, they'll be out in two weeks and I'll write an impression that will blow away the meager scribbles left to us by those more fortunate.

Really? Someone gave detailed thoughts and got railed for it? I have seen some that gave very limited thoughts and offered to give answers to any question, then disappeared. Alpha heard them to, but only for a few min, pre break in.

I don't remember anyone giving a detailed review and no one listened, but I could be mistaken.

No, I mean, as a thread, we asked the lucky early adopters from the countries that already have them to leave more detailed impressions and they got miffed and left.

Shouldn't the K267 be just as comfortable as the K167?

Geez, I just did a price search and saw that the K167 is half the price of the K267... I'm sick to death of plastic headphones, but I'm really starting to doubt that these are worth twice the price for just metal housings.

Hello Tus-Chan,

In an effort to keep you updated on the status of your back order we have contacted the manufacturer. The AKG K267 Tiesto Headphones is still scheduled to be available on or before 02/19/13. You will be updated as we receive new information and you will be emailed tracking as soon as your order ships. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
As always, thank you for letting us earn your business!

Hold on, what?

You guys sent me this on the 27th of December:
"In an effort to keep you updated on the status of your back order we have contacted the manufacturer. The AKG K267 is still scheduled to be available on or before 01/21/13. You will be updated as we receive new information and you will be emailed tracking as soon as your order ships.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask."

Does this mean they've been delayed again?

Hello Tus-Chan,

Yes, your order shows that you were emailed on 12/27 with a back order date of 01/21/13. We spoke with AKG and they did not receive enough headphones to fulfill all open back orders. Unfortunately, this means the date has changed, and they expect to have enough to fulfill all open back orders. The new date is 02/19/13. I apologize for any inconvenience, however, it is important to us to update all of our customers with any changes with their open order.

We will continue to keep you updated with any change in this information. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

I figured it out. K267. K2 means 2000. 6+7 = 13....2000 + 13 = 2013.....2/2013...they will be released in February 2013.
