That’s a bummer. I haven’t seen much commentary on the Psvanes in the Lyr3.

I use a Psvane 6SN7-SE on my Lyr 3 with Ether C Flow headphones, in preference to the other tubes I own. I listened to the AFCs with the Psvane a few weeks ago, it didn't gel like it did with the EFCs. I didn't have time to do more testing then.

Kind of bummed now..received my AFC today but something went wrong in the order fulfilment process on mrspeakers side so I have to wait for the connector plugs to be shipped separately. I'll just have to be patient a bit longer.

Edit- Well, mrspeakers came through and expedited my order to Sweden with Fedex without any charge for customs or import duties (thanks for that @mrspeakers for owning up to that! Much appreciated as an international customer!)

So what do you think of the AFCs?

I'm planning to get these AFCs to pair with those DAPs. Good enough to drive the AFCs ?

The QP1 works pretty OK so long as you're not a head-banger with volume. I used one for quite a while until I upgraded to the QP2r and the gold Walkman.

I am using my Aeon closed with the new Astell & Kern se100. Using a balanced cable it sounds great with plenty of headroom.

IMHO as long as the DAP can deliver decent current at low impedence, the AFC will definitely show you what the DAP is capable of.

I run my Aeon Open with my FiiO X7II and the Ibasso DX150 and don't have any complaints at all. Both do a great job with the Open, but I am also aware that it is not the best setup in the world!

I am using them with the Ibasso DX200 and the best match is with Amp8 but this is high voltage/high current (+/- 8 voltage swing) at 0,38 Ohm only. With that Amp they sound really, really well and they have bass too!!

Don't surprise me. Strictly speaking the DX208 is probably a "better" match than DX150. I have thought about buying amp 8, but I will have to buy new cables...

That said I do not miss any bass at least not quantity, quality is more difficult to say.

I feel my AFC running balanced to my Astell &Kern se100 sounds as good or better than out of my Schiit modi bultibit and Jot combo.
