Thanks to the VAT in the EU, no. Our distributors and resellers take the lowest margins possible to try to keep real price at parity with the US after you include shipping and taxes.

How effective is the Aeon at handling sound leak?
I used to own the Ether C Flow and found it to leak tremendously.
I've got to take them on and off frequently in the office, and I'll usually open up Foobar and pause before I do. When you put them down, the cups clamp together. At one point, I picked them up and opened them up to put on my head, and found that I'd forgotten to pause and my music had still been playing. They isolate really well.We are a group of picky people at the office: If we hear noise, we complain at once to the person. So far no one has complained to me.
After a few weeks of use, and then flicking back to some AT headphones and my other planars (and my previous attempt at a closed over ear for the office, the AKG K550, which I'll be selling because they simply cannot give me enough clamp to bring any bass into play), I have to say that I absolutely love the headband/support design. Not only are they very comfy, but the way they pivot to always fit your head is fantastic. The shape of the headphones is fantastic to handle for something that goes on and off my head as often as they do. The design is just magnificent.

I'm wondering how wide the ear hole is (and how deep). The Ether pads are definitively too small for me, but that was not an issue as that is easily replaceable. Has anyone done any measurements?

The openings are fairly large, they are:
3.25" long at their longest point (83mm)
2" wide at their widest point (50mm)
1" deep at their deepest point (25mm)

Does anyone have an opinion of the Aeon vs the T5p 2? Thanks!

How do they deal with low tone reproduction?
I've been super impressed so far, comfortable, and the range & resolution so much better than my other headphones. One thing i have run into is that one side of the headband tends to slip as i'm wearing it, will trying to tightening this screw help?
It's normal for the slider to get a little looser during burn in, the leather can compress a bit. Just tighten 1/4 turn at s time until it feels sticky enough to not slide when you put the phones on or take them off.

I finally had the chance to compare the sound with and without the foam inserts and I prefer the sound without the inserts. As others have pointed out the inserts change the sound a bit towards a warmer or 'thicker' sound signature. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. One thing that I have noticed is that the Aeon really shows the differences between different amps. I have a Liquid Carbon and a WA6 and they sound quite different on the Aeon, although both are enjoyable in their own way. The LC has extended deep bass, the signature Cavalli liquid midrange and a treble that's detailed but very smooth and musical. The WA6 gives more of a classic tube sound with a lush midrange and slightly rolled-off treble. Both are very enjoyable to my ears.
So far I think that my favorite part of the Aeon is that although it's quite detailed and resolving it's also very musical and tolerant of less-than-perfect recordings. It actually makes it fun to go exploring through my music collection and I often find myself listening to more than just the track that I was searching for because even if the recording isn't perfect (and most of my recordings aren't perfect) the Aeon makes the music interesting and involving.

Just curious, I'm not questioning your impression. What tubes and/or upgrades are on the WA6 if any? I definitely share your opinion on the Liquid Carbon.
