Okay I'm down to two choices for cans: Audio Technica M50 or the Audio Technica A700's.
 
This is what I'll be doing with them:
 
Gaming on my PC and TV (via a receiver)
I do a bit of travel, so I'll be using them during flights with my iPod watching movies or listening to music. 
Listening to vinyl at home (via a receiver)
Watching movies on my laptop while I'm traveling
With my iPod/cmoybb setup various places.  I usually don't listen while I walk around even in airports because I like to hear what's going on around me.  Just my preference.
 
I have some ES7's now but they are more on your ear and not over your ear.  I'm really looking for something over ear, isolation isn't that big of a deal but I want closed cans.
 
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I recommend the M50 because they are great all-rounders. I don't know about gaming, but they're good for everything else on your list. Oh, I also had the ES7s before the M50 and I can say that the M50 was an upgrade from them in terms of sound and comfort.

M50s as a gaming headset are horrible. Trust me.

I've heard and read a lot about the M50's here and other places.  But they look more on the ear than over and surrounding the ear, much like my current pair of ES7's are.
