Hello;
 
I am currently looking for some headphones to use when I want to play my guitar but can't have my amp blasting through the house. I would preferably like to end up using them as my go to headphones for music as well though, as I don't have anything better than cheap stock earbuds.
 
For music, I mainly listen to different types of rock; and as for my amp, I generally use distortion to achieve a metal sound.
 
These are the headphones I've been considering:
 
Sennheiser HD 202 II - $20
Sennheiser HD 203 - $30
Sennheiser HD 428 - $50
Sony MDR-XB500 - $50
JVC HARX700 - $40
Audio-Technica ATH-M30 - $40
 
I'm currently leaning towards the ATH-M30's, but figured I would seek some advice from you guys before making a purchase.

XB500's with equalized mids/highs would be my choice out of your list.
The JVC would be my second choice.
The others, I just wouldn't bother with.
 
And above all of them, I'd suggest the Panasonic RP-HTF600.
