Since this is a stickied thread with an intended purpose, it might be a good idea to put impressions in another thread. Just a suggestion.

I understand that he is working on the packing and transformers. People complined about the packaging so he is fixing it, but of course this takes a little bit of time

presumably it will be back on track soon

Well,
gotta admit I was somewhat optomistic that things were going to happen. If Ken is still trying to get more kinks out, then good luck to him.
no news is not good news

Hi,

IdeaPLay, LLC ais picking up distribution of Storm Audio in North America. While we are not liable or responsible for Ken's earlier problems, we are going to attempt to help him clean it up.

Ken has been through some rough times. Everything fell apart for him when the case supplier produced a faulty run and Ken refused to pay. As we understand what occurred, he was accosted and kidnapped, held until his family paid the money. This occurred in China.

He is a small independent OEM and works without a safety net. After the problems with the D02, he is in debt and trying to work his way back up. His good intent with regard to refunding all who paid, but did not receive the product, is genuine.

With regards to Ken's new products, the Pandora and Phobos DACs, you will have local dealers in North America addressing local and global sales. They will be selling from stock so you can be assured of supply (no pre-orders will be allowed). You will also have direct and easily accessible customer support.

The Pandora, and hopefully the Phobos, will be shown at the upcoming Rocky Mountain Audiofest by Audiomagus.

If you are still owed a refund by Ken, we will be posting contact information here so we can address this in an organized and professional manner.

Thanks & best regards

with a distributor in both usa and australia (both of which can probably supply europe easily) it is at least safe to buy storm products now... at least you know that if you pay you'll get the product, since you'll be paying a distributor which maintains a stock of it

that said, we are all still having to wait until ken sorts out the remaining few issues with the pandora, which is out of the hands of the distributors. i guess because of the pressure from everyone he's tried to be a bit optimistic with the final date of competion

at the end of the day, i'm optimistic about the future of storm products. i know that he makes a good dac; and i'm hoping that the problems of the past will be able to be left in the past as distributors take control of customer service
