I have the same issue as Yoghurtlidlicker; tried the NY office where I got my Encore, they just told me repairs were changed to another place and they couldn't help me. Maybe I'll give it a try...

OK, I sent an email. As I said, contacting the NY office didn't do me any good, hopefully this might get me some help (really expensive paper weight at present, my Encores are...)

Get in touch with ACS. Tell them.
Andy Shiach is the managing director and founder of ACS
He is a legend of the Audio Industry and is perhaps the inventor of the Custom IEM. He will not be satisfied until you are happy with a Custom from them. I'm sure of it.
Here's what I would do :
Send an email to info@acscustom.com
Mark it for the attention of Andy Shiach
I would put something like this :
(...)

thank you!!!!! You are a star.
I just sent an email.

Previously I asked them for an upgrade to Emotion - no chance.

I'm willing to send my Encores for safe disposal.
I just don't want to be near them. It's a constant reminder of a failure ;).

cheers!

I just got an offer to rebuild my Encore to the new 5 driver Emotion. The price is 610$. Normal price is around 1100$ in Norway, so it´s a good price. Still, I'm a bit hesitant about spending 610$ on a new set of customs from ACS. My Encore has failed me twice... My options are either throw my Encores in the trash or spend 610$ on a rebuild to Emotion. What would you have done?

PS. I already have a pair of Noble Kaiser Encore and Audeze LCDi4, non of them customs, but still...

I tried contacting Andy Siach, he said he'd get in touch with the Manhattan person, haven't heard a thing since...

I would have them rebuilt. That's an easy question to answer

So, shortly after I posted here, I heard from Andy. I wonder if they read this thread (they never post, unlike many manufacturers). Still not convinced this will work out in any satisfactory way, but have to contact the Manhattan representative (A. J.). We'll see...

So apart from mastering the fit side of things ACS still haven't improved much in the sound quality department... I had custom Encores when they came out originally and my findings were similar to what you guys say on here, treble roll off was quite noticeable and made me dump them not long after I got them.

Have an appointment Friday, new molds, then back to England to check on them. Hoping they work out to be better, we'll see.

Its my own unit so I got time to test it comprehensively.
The bass is amoung the best I have ever heard, same goes to mid, however the treble turning is slightly not in line.

Maybe it releaxes over time who know.
