Hi guys, this is the HeadFi adaptation of the HS1650CU review I did in Headphonesty, as mentioned in the previous page.

@MidNighTempest - I actually did something cool about that, before my in-depth review is ready :)

Everyone, I made a video about HS1650CU :)

This is more of a First Impressions / Unboxing video than a proper review, but should be pretty good to get an idea of how they stand their ground :)

You should match it with acoustune ARC 13 cable, both are made for each other.

Do people find the stock ARC01 cable on these to be pretty microphonic? I've been using another cable that the previous owner sent me on my HS1551, but when I tried testing the stock cable they were just too microphonic to use even when I'm sitting at my desk. Curious if I'm just wearing them wrong or something, as I've heard high praises for the stock cable from other people.

I just noticed that Crinacle commented the HS1670SS as: "Metallic and shrill timbre makes this hard to enjoy." in his IEM Ranking list.

Anyone else had this experience?
It depends on a gear you use. A warm-sounding dac or dap won't give you any trouble. Something analytical on the other hand can make them sound a bit too metallic and harsh. I loved the 1670 sound when paired with Opus and Continental Dual Mono. With Centrance - not so much.

In other hand if your DAP is very neutral, warmer sweeter HS1650CU is a better choice.
