I tried these (the HS1501 AL model) randomly at a store in Tokyo for about 30 minutes and I loved them! They sound even better than my ATH-CKR100 but they are more expensive too. The bass on these is incredible.

I might try to track down a used pair but so far, no luck, even in Tokyo. I guess they are pretty confidential.

Received my Acoustune HS1551CU lately and I really love it!

I have JH 3xPro and Final Audio Heaven 8. I must say HS1551CU suits me better despite its way cheaper than my two other IEMs.

I love brass chamber, and 1551cu is a brass chamber exactly. The voice is sweet and clear (I can actually listen to when they change their breathe when i paired it up with mojo). The bass is just nice (not too much and not too little), The instruments are, wow. Especially when you can listen drum with different bass (sounds like the actual amount of bass when they hit different drum).

As for HS1501AL, If you love to have more bass, go for it. They have released a improved version of HS1501AL, which is HS1503AL. Just launched last week.

I would say the set of tips that comes with the IEM affect the sound a lot.

The 2 set of silicon tips given have different sound signature, i am using the thinner material tips.

I tried other brand tips, not sure why it sounds terrible for me.

Also it might not fit all ear shapes, be sure to try out first. For me it's a shallow fit.

But 1551CU do sounds good.

I was able to grab a like-new (used twice!) pair of the HS1501AL on a Japanese auction site for 30% less of the regular price. They sound incredible!

I was using the Audio Technica ATH-CKR100 until now, I loved them but I EQed them a little on my Plenue D. I've been using the Acoustune with a FLAT EQ! I usually never do that and somehow, I feel like they don't need EQ at all. I'm very impressed.

Is there a plan for accustune to offer a custom DD iem?

If you mean by CIEM, yes. It's already under development. They use the same type of chamber as well as the end of it sticking out from the shell just like the UIEMs.

It has a similar looking with the UIEM, just the shell is replaced with a custom resin molding.
