so u think smartphones and laptops dont do well with this ? for the price maybe it doesnt hurt to try?
Can’t be sure but sensitivity is pretty low. No it doesn’t hurt to try at this price, just a caution incase it ends up being power hungry.

300ohms you aren't gonna hear anything in anything else than a complete silent environment... these totally need an AMP

I agree that amping brings out the full potential, but I'm listening to my 320ohm Zen 1's out of my S7 edge (exynos) right now, and not only can I hear them, but it's way too loud at full volume. Oh yeah, they sound pretty good too :)

I don't think so. I have used high impedance buds (yinman 500, puresounds 500, TYhiZ650, etc) with my Samsung S7edge and Tab S2 no problem

Impendance isn’t always the determining factor when it comes to being well driven power wise. Also if an earbud gets loud enough but doesn’t have the required drive to provide the energy I’d consider that not well driven but that’s not to say every high impendance earbud is like this.

I wonder if the S7 has a decent amp like the LG v20 does.

True. Earlier when I tried the Zen's off of my S7 (which I don't normally do), I rationally knew that they probably weren't being optimally driven. But I didn't stop listening for 3 hours, so they must have sounded all right to me :)

Not sure. But I do know that my version (Canadian, exynos) doesn't have the volume limitation applied (like I think it is in Europe?).

Might be EU have some guidelines on that some companies follow it.

At 300ohm and 95 sensitivity, it shouldn't be properly driven via normal smartphones. There's the possibility, but it's unlikely.
