If you're cusious docomo bud sound like layering of qian39 + Sony(fake) e808 . IMOThank you.
Well I have Ve monk, ty hi-z32, Yuin pk2, qian 25, Qian39, mx375, mx365, omx90, sony e808, e828, pq5 (this one looks ridiculously funny but it sounds good) and BGVP dx3s (well maybe I should not call this one “budget” ‘coz it costs $40 LOL)

My current favorite now is 5usd Docomo earbud (with long stem).
5usd where?
I'm sorry I can't give you concrete link. Maybe someone can help. I bought from my local seller it's around 5usd shipped. I suspect it's even cheaper from taobao. Unfortunately I can't read Chinese.

Is it docomo p01? P01 was somewhat popular in China’s earbubs collector community a couple of years ago but now it’s hard to find, even on taobao.I'm sorry I can't give you concrete link. My seller just named it Docomo variant. Here's the Pic
It's not the best sounding but very clear highs. Somewhat dynamic. Fluid smooth mids. Bass title laid back but it's there. Doesn't reach low to sub bass but never felt anything missing either except when listening to edm. It's now my favorite earbud for binaural track.
However it has a glaring issue in the lower region. Still can't pinpoint what freq causes the mids distortion in some track. I tried playing with APO eq on my desktop and still not perfectly cure the distortion. It's now nearing 70 hour burn. Haven't burn excessively. I belive the most drastic change is only in couple of hours burn. Haven't change after that.

I'm gonna try these out because I want another small shell earbud like the Qian39 shell instead of the MX500 type shell. Anyone have anymore like these? No high impedance, I'm not using a pre-amp or anything:
Monk Lite (40 ohm)
UiiSii U2
**** PT15 (I can't tell from the picture but they look small)

You can also try earbuds using Yuin PK shell, examples:

DQSM Panda

These small wooden earbuds sound good, but don't have as much Bass as the larger shell models -

I have those wooden buds and I love them. Enough bass for me but I think it is the mids that are the most important for me with vocal music.
Maybe David can describe the sound better than I can
Mine came from this store because they were the only ones that had the white cable that I wanted. The funny thing is,the case and the cable are both different from those pictured. I like the ones that came with mine. The cable That I received is the braided type.
edit: I wonder if we should be posting about these in the main Earbuds Roundup thread?

This is what I expected it to look like:

It's been more than 100 hours on docomo (long stem, stock cable)
In comparison, id rate it better than many of my budget earbud. Very smooth mids but the clarity is too good for a budget earbud. However it fells short when lower mids are stressed by subbass.. It doesn't pronounce the sub bass but in every track that's heavy on bass, the lower mids will suffer distortion / cracking). The same thing happens to eb200, e808 and. And all these 3 earbud gave glorious clarity but share the same inherent drawbacks.
I wonder how other owners (black panther / recabled) heard the same thing I did. Maybe my unis is faulty? I'm tracking someone in my town who also owns one. And another of my friend ordered one too. We'll see (hear) if other sounds same as mine.

My instinct tells me that Faaeal Snow Lotus 1.0 are unjustifiably overlooked. Very few people seem to have them here. So I ordered a pair last night - the shiny silver 1.0 + version with silver plated wire for $9. That’s silver on silver and hopefully they will sound like gold. ( :
Also, these will be my first 64ohm earbuds ever.
They will be put against Vido, EMX500s and MX760 Graphene (cheaper version).

i had the monk plus and auglamour rx1 and i didn't like them. didn't find either of them comfortable and felt that the mids were shouty on both of them. i would prefer something in a smaller shell that sounds balanced. i will mainly be using them to lull myself to sleep.
