I have been searching for good closed headphones and so far have had no dice on a good soundstage ,so I need a good sub 200 dollar pair of open headphones. I got a good look at sennheiser hd558s, but i know there's a lot more out there.I also need a good tight bass too.

I will be listening to Hard rock, grunge, classic rock, Hip hop, rap, Electronic, Jazz, and Progressive rock.
i will also be gaming too.

thanks in advance.

Pink Floyd is prog rock.

I'd recommend the AKG K701, but it is only under $200 used, and isn't going to be "amazing" for rap.

What source(s) are you going to be plugging the headphones into?

Guys I said 200 bucks new

It would help if you put your location in your community profile.
In the USA, the DT990 Pro 250-ohm sell new for $180.

DT990 Pro 250-Ohm, B & H Photo Video, $180 with free shipping and no tax.
Fiio E9 amplifier will work fine with the DT990.

What about the dt990 250 on the Sony strdh130 receiver. Its one or the other because my total costs can not exceed 350 dollars for all gear.
