$999 Calyx M with DXD + DSD, 64GB + SD + µSD storage

With x-batt and a selfmade leather case since I didnt find one to purchase.

the advanced battery life is really enjoyable :)
X-Batt is a must with the Calyx M. The extra cost is meaningless and the added comfort just enorm. Nice case btw.

Where did you buy it? New or used? What about warranty?

Wait that night, charge it.

We will see tomorrow

Did you try to reset the calyx?

3. Press and hold power and previous button
4. After white Calyx M logo flashing out, release buttons
5. After white Calyx M logo flashing in again, press and hold power and previous button then and release previous button after 1 second
6. After recovery menu boots up, release power button

Lol how could you forget it with the rubber circle glued on!?
I think it could be battery. No warmth when it's plugged to charge.
If it's ok, ill send it to you to see if you can fix it.

Just got mine, charging seems to take a long time... How long do you guys leave it charging with the X-Batt module?

Ok, so I got it fully charged. Put some music on it and let it rip.

This thing is mind blowing... I never thought there would be so much difference from this to the ZX300. It's insane, just... wow.

I have been meaning to ask for a while - Just out of interest -was wondering if anyone had pulled apart and examined the audio circuitry- while nothing is mentioned in the manual the calyx m appears to run with 3.5mm trrs balanced cables with good performance
The m-jack that came with player in later batches has a 4 pole trrs but does not work with a balanced 3.5mm cable -while same cable works when connected directly
I have used the 2.5mm to 3.5mm balanced adaptor I use with zx2 and plenue s and these all work well - just don’t recall anything mentioned in this forum regarding this - however if you have 3.5mm balanced cables it is handy to be able to use directly - don’t know if the set up is similar to the zx2 or if there was some attempt in design stage to have balanced - anyone have any info on this ?

Calyx M review by Mikhail Khilko for Porta.Fi

Of course, this DAP isn't new, but it's still an interesting option. Our guest author summarised his thoughts about Calyx M

English: https://porta.fi/calyx-m-player-review-white-note/
Russian: https://porta.fi/ru/obzor-pleera-calyx-m-white-note/
not a tempting review to think buying it when you described the sound, to overlook all the negatives of this dap to buy then the sound must be awesome and I did not get that sense from your review
