How well does it clean a snake oil spill? Asking for a friend.
I can confirm that their plugged in version of their IEM Vac doesn't help with meshed CIEMs. You can use the plastic tip to vacuum the mesh surface, but any debris or fluid that gets through the mesh won't be helped by this.Does it even have enough suction power to clean CIEMs that use some form of mesh at the sound bore? These IEMs tend to be generally harder to clean. At times you'd have to be able suck small debris through the mesh since it can sometimes end up behind it.
Also the price is way too high, something like $150 would be more appropriate and acceptable.
It is effective when used on IEMs with a mesh screen. You just have to make sure to vacuum them often enough to not allow any wax to get beneath the screen otherwise the screen will need to be replaced.Does it even have enough suction power to clean CIEMs that use some form of mesh at the sound bore? Thank you. It definitely is great to use on the go. The idea was to make something that requires less of a setup commitment to quickly clean your ears after use. It has comparable suction power to much larger solutions, made with high quality materials and super easy to use.Could be great for musicians using CIEMs on the go. I've personally been looking for an IEM vacuum and I really dig the simplicity here.

This has a higher suction power than that unit, more comparable to their Pro unit which is much more similar in price to VAC Pro. VAC Pro is also made with quality parts and not plastic. VAC Pro is cordless so you don't need to plug it into the wall or use a hose+syringe, and very simple to use and replace filters. What can this do that the Jodi-Vac can't that justifies my paying 180 USD more for your product?

correct, if wax gets behind the screen you won't be able to clean it with a vacuum. You would need to send them in for a mesh replacement. But as a more consistent cleaning solution for people who require it, VAC Pro can clean the large bore and mesh screen if clean early and often enough.I can confirm that their plugged in version of their IEM Vac doesn't help with meshed CIEMs. You can use the plastic tip to vacuum the mesh surface, but any debris or fluid that gets through the mesh won't be helped by this.

we tried a Dyson, but it just sucked too muchThe price is a joke, honestly. For that amount, you can get a good Dyson VC.

you're absolutely right. Even in the case of a large IEM collection, most people do fairly well with the supplied cleaning pick/brush and a good wipe down. This is made for those folks who really need a more thorough cleaning solution.Neat idea, if you have a large iem collection.
I don't.
