So, how many hours to the annoncement?

Not sure if this is legit, but iLounge is claiming they have a snapshot of the new silhouette ad campaign and the screen will be 2.5-2.6 inches diagonal (versus reg iPods 2"). Headphone jack shifted to the side, but still on top.

Looks bigger to me than the current iPods, at least comparing to the hand.

How hilarious is that! I halfway expect them to report that it's One Small Step for Steve, One Giant Leap blah blah. I love my iPods, but this is really getting over the top.

Yeah the hypes a bit much, but still fun (though bound to make actual announcement disappointing

I don't know how you calculate screen size based that graphic, but I seriously hope it's no smaller than four inchs if it's about more than video podcasts/music videos. Looks widescreen though.

this looks pretty close to the prediction page I have on the first posting on this thread. Looks like the screen is wider and longer.

I am guessing this is what the new ipod looks like, being this pics are from a company working for Apple.

atleast they finally moved the headphone jack so it's not in the center. doesn't look that great though, hopefully that won't be what they announce

Maybe the headphone jack on the side will fix the audio defect of iPod photo.

And that means all the iPod accessories like remote, mic are going to become absolete.

Told you the screen would be wider, going to the edge like the nano. Not longer and portrait like those conceptual pics.

If Apple doesn't practice obsolescence, how else would they sell stuff. The Griffin iTrip wasn't that great anyway.

Well we don't know that yet. Things may stick out over the edge, but we don't know if they're obsolete.
