As a side note, does anyone know of any hifi shops near Providence or Boston to demo headphones?
Goodwins High End in Waltham MA has a small area where you can sit and demo headphones. I haven't done it myself but last I was there they had a nice selection of woo amps along with headphones from DCA, Audeze, Abyss, and more I can't remember. Don't think you need an appointment to stop by and here's their website https://www.goodwinshighend.com/headphones/. Looks like they have that DCS Lina stack for demo at the moment

My wife and I are moving to Providence, RI for a work assignment and will be there for a few months. Unfortunately, we won’t be there until October 23rd. Wish I could attend! Seems like a good amount of people and gear will be there.

As a side note, does anyone know of any hifi shops near Providence or Boston to demo headphones? I still haven’t heard Utopia, Caldera, Diana TC, and 1266TC and would love the chance to experience them.
Natural Sound in Framingham has a decent collection of offerings. I tried the Focal Clear Mg, Bathys, and Stellia there. They have Beyers, Sennheiser, Grado etc. No ZMF or Abyss though.

Also re: the two responses mentioning Goodwins. I was over there a couple weeks ago and I want to add that they also had some Hifimans and the whole Focal lineup. The also had a dcs Bartok.

Are there any fees to attending?

No, it's usually sponsored by Schiit. I've been to these meets before and it's one of the best I've experienced. People bring great gear, and also Schiit provide some of the TOTL headphones as well. I would highly recommend.

I really like smaller meets like these. The ones around DC in NOVA was great too.

Are there any scheduled events for Saturday (Q&As or whatnot)? Trying to find the best time to be there so my wife's not on kid duty all day!
Thanks for asking... We are looking to schedule a Zoom call with Schiit co-founder Jason Stoddard for a Q&A sessions but I'm not sure on the time yet. I will get that ASAP. We will have lunch delivered around noonish. I'm also going to do a raffle for some ZMF swag as well as a Schiit Lyr+. That will probably be right after lunch. Besides that, come and go as you please.

Nope! Schiit is generously covering the expenses for lunch and the fee for the space. Lunch will be provided. Hope you see you there. Please make sure to vote that you are coming so that I can order the right amount of food.

Thanks for this! That is our goal. Get people together to have fun. Please don't hesitate to provide feedback on how we can make this better.

No, unfortunately this venue does not have Wi-Fi. We will be limited to our phone's hotspot or local files. Thanks for asking.

A few updates based on some questions I've received.

There will be no wifi at the venue. Please bring transports, physical media, hotspots or local files.

If you have them, bring extension cords and power strips.

10am - Doors open. I'm going to get there early if possible to start setting up. I may not be able to get in before 10.
12pm - Lunch Please keep food and drinks away from the gear and wash your hands prior to handling gear
1pm - Zoom - Q&A with Schiit co-founder Jason Stoddard
2pm - Raffle

There will be assorted beverages with lunch but I would suggest bring water and other Non-Alcoholic drinks with you. I'll try to pick up a case of assorted drinks.

If you plan on trying IEMs, please bring an assortment of tips. If you know there is a pair you want to try, try PMing the owner and figuring out what tips fit if you are not sure.

Please remember proper meet etiquette. Don't unplug or mess with gear. Not all gear has protection circuits built into it. People bring some strange (awesome) stuff to meets.

Let me know if I'm forgetting something.

Could have sworn I RSVP/voted before but logged in to check today and had to do it again. Looking forward to it! Probably just bringing my Arya Stealth but may load my Xduoo TA-22 in the car in case someone wants to try it.
