274B TUBES

You should get a pair of 6SN7/6F8G adapters (you can find them in ebay for about $50 pair) and buy a pair of TS BG/RP 6F8G. They are like 20%-25% the cost of the TS BG/RP 6SN7GT. For that price is worth the experiment. In my case it was a total winner.

If you like I can take pictures of mine in my amp and post them here.

Yes, I owned both TS 6F8Gs and adapters from Glenn for my WA22 but just sold with the amp. Have them tried in my WA5LE but still prefer the sound of the TS 6SN7 fo my music prefrence, maybe just for my ears. Now, the TS 6SN7GT is the only tubes for my WA5LE.

The 2 biggest reasons why I stay away from the TS 6F8G's in my WA5LE, and love my TSRP 6SN7GT's.
1. Size of the TS 6F8G's next to my nos WE 300B's, its for that reason why I sold my Shuguang Treasure CV181-Z / 6SN7GT.
2. In my environment I am concerned with having monophonic problems with the TS 6F8G's, and that is also why I wanted the TSRP with the oval mica not the round mica.

Yes I do run a pair of EML 5U4G's in my WA5LE, however I run a nos EML 274B solid plate in my WA6SE.

This is the setup I use for 2CH CD's, but for M/C SACD's and blu ray movies i run 5.1, 7.1 analog though my Realiser and A300b Integrated Stereo Motion Amplifier and a pair of Shadow Actuators then out to my WA5LE and HD800's.

I have the EML 274B solid plate y the old EML 5U4G mesh plate and for me with my WA6 maxxed using  6sn7/7n7 tubes  and the HD800, the EML 274 solid plate is much better. The highs are more much presence, more agresive but not irritating, more detail, more soundstage, more dark background. EML 5U4G mesh is like a SD television and the EML 274B solid is like a HD television in comparision.

Have you tried the Sylvania Brown Base, Chrome Top 6SN7WGT yet? I really like them in my WA5-LE. They are fast, detail and open with great bass.
