[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!

VE has a 2.5mm TRRS to 3.5mm BL adapter which will cover your needs.  It's a little odd that it's an angled jack where the 3.5mm BL to 2.5mm TRRS is straight.

Thanks! could i assume these work?

this will not work for sure~ trrs means 4pins , when mic is involved , they are NOT meant for BL~rather for phones (more like ancient phones lol)

My Espresso braided version is on teh way.
I hope it should sound better than Monk+. I never had Candy version, so now i am feeling better !

Mine in with the USPS in LA so I should have it maybe tomorrow or by Monday. I'll burn it in for a few days and compare directly to a candy that has maybe 100 hours on it.

There are a lot of Espressos available for those that may be concerned about availability.

I found the TRRS version only had 9 left.

Mine's arrived in the US, just waiting for it to get here, so hopefully by next weekend.  I'm going to laugh if discussion of the Cappuccino leads into confusion when it comes to IEM vs Earbud.

Certainly off topic mainly, but VE related.  I decided to give one of his new cables a try, as unless I'm completely mistaken the 2.5mm to XLR cable looks just right for an HD700, as well as 2 adapters for 3.5mm & 2.5mm balanced.  Total cost after shipping was just shy of $60, and will let me play around with my new daps with the headphone a little more.  I'm quite happy to see @zhibli06 venture into this kind of work, and am eager to see how they do.

I figured I'd take a chance, as I saw your website said today was the last day. Worst comes to worst I wait a bit longer.

My braided Golden Monk arrived yesterday. Nice job on the packaging Lee! The able is beautifully supple and is a nice tight, clean braid:

Im reading some of the older posts - some people are saying the Monk Original sounds better than the Monk Plus?

Is this true?

If so - does that mean their latest version in Purple and Coffee will be even worse?

You may have a try, folk.
Besides, I don't think it's the best way to find out you answer by urging people to judge other's feelings.
You don't have to be aligned with anyone's experience since you are not them.

If you're interested in old models, good luck. I don't think you can buy them as they're discontinued.
Come on, make your life easier. The deal's only $5. Take it or leave it.
