Can somebody link any cable that works with h1707 on aliexpress or anything from EU please? I tried to use search and use old posts but most of the old links are out-of stock now.

Has anyone swapped pads on these?

Mine are wearing out and I would love to get something that improves the comfort (and sound quality too?)

Check out these old posts from @Slater

His expertise was invaluable. I miss him terribly. He suddenly disappeared a couple of years ago. He was always so helpful.

You will find intructions ... he was very thorough.
Thank you.. I remember following his mod thread few years ago, but I didn't pursue any and forgot about this long ago.

I used a very dull butter knife, and levered the pads off a little at a time.

This is what he said when someone asked him how to remove the stock pads!! I'm still unclear and kinda skeptical to proceed as I might damage the earcups..

Whilst this thread is active, I wondered if anyone could recommend a replacement cable at all?
Just curious.. Are the stock ones (which feel the most rugged) bad in any way?

Maybe try a plastic spudger?

They're comfortable, less hot, sound has more bass and sounds less bright, more V shaped, I prefer it and wish I'd switched pads years ago. Easy to install as they just stretch and slip over the cups.

For removing the originals a spudger, blunt edge cutlery knife or spreading knife

Thank you @mbwilson111 and @Jon995 . I'll try using a spudger.

I saw that slater recommended the beats studio replacement pads if we wanted the original sound.

Would these work?

Yes they work, I tried them first. I had problems getting double sided tape to stay stuck and the pads kept peeling away but that was probably my error.

Have ordered the geekria velour pads and awaiting delivery.

Should I pry off the pad mounting plate or pull just the pad from the plate?
