The top 30 review said something that I agree with about Hyouka. Hyouka may very well be the best effort at non-action SOL as of yet. Clannsd after story is still best but Hyouka was too dayum good

As for me, I jumped on the K7xx drop a couple days ago as soon as I saw AKG K702 Annie with more bass and better treble and I'm looking forward to receiving it. Hopefully my Gilmore Lite V2 is good enough to push it!

The most probable guess I saw was that this is a K712 Pro with different pads. I think a lot of people said that the Anniversary Edition didn't advertise a 3dB boost in lower frequencies but the K712 Pro does. Ideally if you swap out the pads for K712 Pro pads, you'll end up with a K712.
 
I'd very much like K712 Pros for $200.

I could try that out once I get the K7XXs and ideally a pair of proper K712s along my side to audition them with. I believe that the same or very similar driver was used throughout the K7## series of headphones and that the main changes are the pads anyways.
