Feb 29, 2016 at 1:22 PM Post #151 of 166
The Liquid Gold amp is on sale for $1999 on Cavalli's website. Plus the coupon code that would make it a killer deal?

Ha, that would be nice... :p

Sadly, no.  :frowning2:   Luckily though, there are many puppies waiting around at shelters all over the country, and they are (for the most part) free!

Yup, I think so!  Unfortunately for you bro, you already have a Lightning 2T... so there isn't really anything for you to upgrade to.  :xf_eek:

Well that's only because you just went and bought BOTH ETHERs you crazy man you!  :D

Good piece of kit, that!  Still, I'm glad you're reconsidering!  :D

Good point!     I was going to announce the prices for this upcoming run next week, but here's what we're looking at:

Liquid Crimson$2,999.00
Liquid Glass$3,499.00
Liquid Gold$3,999.00
Liquid Lightning 2T (SS)$4,499.00
Liquid Lightning 2T (Tube)$4,999.00

The $599 discount would be off of the prices shown above.

I wish I have money to get the Liquid Glass.

Hey everyone!  If you're considering taking advantage of the loyalty upgrade at all, you might want to keep an eye on this thread:  http://www.head-fi.org/t/802865/cavalli-audio-the-liquid-carbon-upgrade-guide-impressions-tour

I almost fell for that price too. It's rather deceptive to list half the price. I didn't know what NR deposit was until I read about it hear. I mean how hard can it be to spell out the words "Non-Refundable" and to put Price: 3999, non-refundable despot required: 1999?

Still, I'm thinking' 'bout it :)

What happened to cavilli audio website countdown?
Do we need to expect something?

No, it just means the order deadline for the final round of Cavalli's highend amps has expired. Carbon orders are still open for a while, though.

Any update on release date for Cavalli audio spark amp because am waiting for it?

You and me both. I made the mistake of listening to it through multiple IEMs and headphones this weekend at AXPONA. It's a mistake because those few collective hours have guaranteed that I'll be opening my wallet for one at launch.

Looks like you can still order the high-end amps, at least it lets you take it to the cart step for ordering...

  Here here!!

And I'm not just sayin' that because I've been doin' some consulting work for Cavalli recently.
An offer like this is typically non-transferable - but I'll make an inquiry w/ Warren if you wish!

I've been a die-hard Cavalli fan for years now, since I bought my LAu and wrote it up here at Head-Fi,
so I'm psyched to do some work for Warren and Dr. Cavalli!!

As Warren wrote in his bit about the Carbon for the Buyers Guide - he and I were on the team that helped Dr. Cavalli come up with the Carbon project - unfortunately soon after my marriage fell apart so I sorta' lost touch. Next thing I know the Carbons goin' forward, and I couldn't miss my chance to get one!!

So I'm actually posting to share my excitement over this lil' personal audio GEM!!!!
And - for anyone who may see a conflict-of-interest here: Consider I disclosed that I've been asked to consult for Cavalli recently - I posted in this thread about my Carbon prior to that - just for clarification...

This amp just keeps soundin' better and better the more time I put through it. I must also recommend, MOST HIGHLY, for those of you I've read here who haven't had a chance to run the LC fully-balanced: Do so ASAP! Even if you don't own a DAC with a balanced output - see if you can borrow one from a friend or a fellow Head-Fier. Does the LC sound good runnin' unbalanced? SURE. But man, does it sing when runnin' it the way it was intended!

I've been enjoying my McIntosh D100 DAC ahead of the LC lately - as its got balanced output and RCAs as well (great for when I'm reviewing other products - I can use the DAC for multiple amps).

and I especially dig the LC when playing electronic music - like FlashBulb, Aphex Twin, Shlohmo or ESKMO!

I've been using my Double Helix Cables Xtreme w/ my MrSpeakers ETHER-C and ETHER more-so than any other pair of cans lately.
Though I also enjoy my ENIGMAcoustics Dharma D1000 (via Cardas Clear or DHC cables) with the amp as well.

What are some of the other DACs you guys are using here?
I know there's a dedicated thread to finding the perfect DAC accompaniment - but I figured I'd ask here since this is the thread that's been hummin' the longest on the LC...

Mike,
Too bad you were not at Axpona. I was able to get a Bricasti M1 DAC for Warren to use at the Cavalli booth with the Liquid Gold on Sunday. Let me just say that the pair was just like the amplifier name... Liquid Gold!

Any update on the cavalli portable amp

http://www.head-fi.org/t/665398/new-cavalli-audio-portable-amp-officially-in-the-works

I heard it again yesterday at The Source AV's event.  Warren said they should have the first production prototype mid June I believe.  I may have misheard, but it was something like that.  He also said there would be a limited run of 1000 on the first batch and that's worldwide.  @TSAVJason at the Source is taking reservations against the 1000 already.
