Pros: It's tiny.
Cons: lacks warmth, some frequencies smoothed over (digital volume control to blame?)
If I was using this with consumer headphones, I would just rate it 5 stars. It has a nice design, good battery life, quality aluminium enclosure, comes with several cables, power button 3 stage-eq, three different clips to attach it to your clothes, volume control and lastly it boosts your volume.

EQ
It's nearly useless. Makes the sound slow and bloated. I loved the flashing light and smooth buttons. I bet it is good on some bass light headphones, like Superlux HD668 though. It may also work differently on headphones with different impedances.

SQ
Bass: Lacks authority
Midrange: I feel there is a bit of distortion lurking somewhere.
Highs: Slightly glossy

accuracy, coherency, timing, all that stuff is lacking, maybe because of the digital volume control.

TLDR; I wanted to like it, but it didn't manage to sound good enough. (Not with 80ohm DT770's that I reviewed them with) You could have different result with easier to drive headphones. I really hope FiiO tries to improve the sound quality, because it is already very promising. Maybe another version with just a gain switch instead of volume control.

I agree with your assessment on this device being a smartphone gadget. I found that it did help my smartphone's output, but not significantly enough to justify me carrying it around. I've since returned it and am shopping for a proper DAP to replace my stop-gap usage of a phone.

Mind you I reviewed with this with my laptops output to me it sounds better than my smartphone though. With a better DAC it could possibly perform better, but it is clear the SQ isn't good enough to warrant buying another device with it.

Pros: Sound has bass, low bass
Cons: nothing
Pioneer SE-CL711-K is a headphone with a _slight emphasis on bass frequencies.

Headzone

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: Sounds ok, good enough
Cons: build quality
The Behringer UFO202 is the cheapest manufactured DA you can buy. It is free from computer noise. The headphone output is mediocre, but the RCA outs slightly better.

Verdict: psychoacoustical performance is poor. The device has a plastic feel to it.

Headzone

I like the way you review HPs, brief, precise and right to the point.

Pros: Works good on vintage receivers; solid bass, medium resolving, a bit less than medium soundstage, AKG clear vocals
Vintage headphones AKG K240 600ohm, would buy again.

Hi, may be you try the K240 DF and compare again....! I guess it will fit much better to the Sennheiser HD 600 benchmark.

they've been around for a long time, I wish there was an audio store close to me so I could compare them to my senn hd580s.

Pros: Nice attention to detail
For the price of one headphone, you get a nice bass and a very nicely finished product. I would call this a good value!

Sound is bordering on average, due to slightly exaggarated bass response. (OK so they thump like hell you get the idea)

Pros: price, non-fatiguing
The K44 Perception headphones include comfortable leatherette ear pads and a self-adjusting headband that allow extended wear without discomfort. They come with a 2.5m (8ft), fixed, straight cable including convertible jack plug.

Sound has little bit of headcup resonance. Too much low-mids. Bass and treble not extended.

Thanks for the review, I've been seeing people walking around with these a few times now and always wondered how they sound.

The muffled sound is caused by the poor bass. If you EQ down the bass these are pretty impressive for the $30 I paid. I actually think that the bass on these is severely bloated. I think once you EQ down the crappy bass they're similar to a K240 Studio.
Saying these are not worth $15 is crazy. You should have spent more than 10 minutes with them.

Your English is great. Better than allot of bloggers who were born and raised here.

Headzone

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: Banging loud, good looks and folding
Sound:

AKG sound quality. The bass goes very low (30hz sine-wave still going strong). Small headcups leave them sounding a bit muffled in the soundstage.

Design:

They have a very cool folding design indeed!

Overall:

Offering a value for the price

Headzone

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: Bright and clear
Cons: None for the price.
They look like a cheap version of AKG K240, but the drivers are made by Superlux and sound very different.

SQ:
These drivers have this good detail retrieval, that makes them good value despite their treble distortion or brightness. I would like a bit more bass.

Edit: These headphones have a newer EVO model, which has much extended bass response.

I like mines too, they work good with metal and heavy music. What pads are you using to make them more comfortable?
Headzone

Hey, actually im using the stock pads yet. But the velour pads that people use (Beyerdynamic, AKG velour pads) should be more comfortable than the stock ones, and im going to order pair of those soon. :)

I've heard the same but never tired them. I did used the K501 and K601 pads on them, the &01 werre better but the superlux lost a lot of body maybe because the driver was far from the ear, maybe the velour pads you mention arent so deep.
