New Head-Fier
Pros: tough, small, good looking
Cons: cable sockets get tired with age
Great cheaper version of the split headband variety. I have a few pairs of these and they have lasted very well. Slightly veiled sound, which works out perfect for DJing in clubs with large volume - bright cans at high volume for a few hours are painful on the ears and give me a headache, these with their slightly recessed highs are perfect for longer high volume sessions.

The headband could benefit some padding - i used the padding from a crappy pair of old brandless headphones i found on a pair of these and it makes a big difference to the comfort. (See pic 2 below)

The cable jacks are detachable from the headphone cups and over the years (maybe 8-10) these sockets get loose. If i'm moving around with these, one ear or the other occasionally cuts off and requires the cable to be pushed in 1mm or so. Annoying, but they've had a hard life & nothing else has failed.

Is this the Sennheiser HD25 SP2? You should change the title of the review to list the model number.

Pros: Really comfortable, great isolation
Cons: Brand?
After reading reviews here and learning about the Denon drivers, i went for a pair of these for the office. They are surprisingly comfortable to wear, the soft pleather pads perfectly covering the ears, with the only discomfort issue being that your ears warm up a bit after a while. Great sound isolation from outside. Short cord length makes them portable - I quite often wash the car wearing these cans, and the short cord means no snagging etc.

The headband plastic looks a little fragile, i'm not sure these could live in and out of a bag, also the cable is a little thin and the jack surround is poorly glued in place (although that flaw allows me to plug it into my iphone4 bumper case!).

Bass is full and defined, mids are smooth, highs are there, but perhaps that high end sparkle could be better, they sound kinda warm - they say a recable can improve the highs though.

I got these at a reduced rate on Amazon and am very happy with them. Great sounding cans for the money. Here's a couple pics i took:

@turgid, poor isolation and minimal leak of sound. it would take more clamping force...

All the goodness of these headphones is lost with the quality of the plastic. My set broke within 3-4 months of purchase. Don't get me started on Creative's service. At the price range they sell for I would go for a different brand, like Beads for example... Creative, definitely not worth your money.

Pros: tiny size, great carry case, perfect for use with iphone
Cons: standard buds not a perfect fit
Bought these from an apple reseller store so probably paid over the odds. Sound really clear at the top end, little bit lacking in bass punch, although this is improved with better fitting buds. I find a medium Sennheiser but/tip a perfect fit, but with these, the medium bud is a little small and falls out easily, and the large is just too big. I went for the highly rated Comply Foam tips which were £15 for 3 pairs and are superb. They discolour with ear wax though :frowning2: . But the noise cancelling is great, really good in flight. They are basically an ear plug with a thin plastic tube thru the middle which fits snugly over the apple in-ear 'trumpet'.

Easily the best sounding in-ears i've heard, and better sounding and looking than my Sennheiser MM50 and CX150s. Better seperation and more clarity.

Coming from the CX150 (which I also own and almost never use), I can see why the Apple IEM would sound nice to your ears. While they have vastly improved the design and sound of their buds and the IEM, they're still not amazing by any means.

Pros: Rugged
Cons: Painful to wear. Heavy
Bought these based on the good reviews. Tried and tried but they were just so uncomfortable i sold them. Way too much pressure on the ears, plus the headband never sat well either. Most uncomfortable cans i've ever tried on. Shame, as they sounded pretty good.

The SRH440 is a studio monitor, it is not an extra bass headphone like the Skullcrusker. Perhaps you would prefer the Sony XB500 or JVC HAS600 (or even the JVC HAS4x?) if you want something with extra bass.

@JK1 Yes the price in the UK is about £80. I replaced them with a set of DT770s for £133 - big improvement in comfort and sound.
@sweetkorea Yeah glad its not just my head. I was really disappointed with the fit of these cans. $40 is a great deal though - 1/3 of what i paid !

In India it costs $120. Amazon + shipping would be more

Pros: Cost, comfort
Cons: pretty cheap looking
Bought purely out of curiosity after reading so many Head-Fi-ers say great things about them.
Simply amazed at the sound quality to price ratio. I love these headphones! I can wear them for hours. In fact i forget they are there after a while.

JK1 - I think there is 'just' enough bass. I'm still a huge fan of these headphones, and they have been getting 3-4 hours use a day at work. I find they sound noticeably better when used through my little PA2V2 amp - which gives the bass better definition and a little more punch. But its the lack of a headband that i'm now converted to. I really enjoy these clips - in fact i've ordered a set of Yuin G2A just to see how they compare.
One thing that surprises me is the Kramer Mod - people say it opens up the treble. In my opinion there is already a lot of treble and it can be a touch harsh at times. If anything i'd want to calm the treble down a bit and add a touch more clarity to it.

I agree, the low treble is undoubtedly hot. I have big problems with sssssibilance from the KSC75.

Imo the JVC HA-EB75 earbuds with earhooks for around $8 sounds much better than the KSC75.

Pros: Comfort
Cons: Sound leakage.
I've had these cans for over 10 years and they have been great. Super comfy to wear - I can wear them for 2-3 hours at a time. Rather bulky if you have to cart them around. The sound is typical Sennheiser, clean, crisp and fairly neutral. Lacking in bass possibly. Lovely delicate highs. Being open backed, they leak sound like crazy and used to annoy my colleagues in the office :)
