Packaging and accessories:

Accessories
The J1UX comes in a black cardboard box, this is a very simple packaging that achieves its main purpose. Inside of this box we can find a red carrying case, 3 pairs of spinfit silicone tips, 3 pairs of dekoni foam tips, a MMCX silver plated cable and the earphones. These accessories have a very good quality, the case is resistant and is very useful for carrying our players and not just our earphones. The cable is average, it feels solid, has a nice design, there aren't microphonics and the mmcx connectors have a tight connection with the earphone but it is very hard to remove from the iem.

Design
J1UX has a solid and aesthetic design, the black plastic shell has a bright finish and the faceplate shows a beautiful 3D design in addition to the “AME” logo in metallic letters. The size of the shell is big, it's one of the bigger iems i've tried so maybe someone with small ears might find it uncomfortable. About the insertion, it goes deep and contributes to achieve a very good noise isolation, the nozzle has average size and overall, the confort is good.

Sound:
This earphone has a V shape sound signature, in general it can be described as a bassy sound with recessed mids, relaxed treble and big soundstage.

Bass:
It's the most accented part of the sound, sub bass is present but midbass elevation is bigger. It delivers good impact and sometimes can sound boomy.
The bass in this earphone is focused on delivering richer and tighter tones so pianos and guitars sound with extra thickness in its lower notes. It delivers enough speed for electronic music although it's not very detailed. I wouldn't say it is basshead material but it can easily satisfy anyone looking for a bass.
In songs like Umbrella - Rihanna/JAY-Z you can easily note how bass takes one of the main spots in the sound of this song, it is very accented and has very good weight to enjoy songs like this.

Midrange:
It presents a very warm recessed midrange, upper mids are accented so voices are accented (specially female voices) but not much texturized. Lower mids show a light elevation giving the sound a slightly dense representation with not much speed and focused in showing the weight of voices and instruments.
The level of detail in this earphone is average for this price range, instrumental separation is good thanks to a very wide soundstage and accurate imaging. Soundstage takes a relevant part in this earphone, it has a very good depth to the sides and it's very notorious in songs with enough instruments.

Treble:
Highs are relaxed and not much extended achieving a slightly dark sound representation. This sound is very easy to listen to for long periods of time and won't show any uncomfortable peaks, so if you are sensitive to bright sound, this earphone might be what you´re looking for.
I enjoyed this sound with pop, rap and hip-hop music. In songs like The lucid door - Sirenia, it is notorious how highs are relaxed, this song has a very forward female voice that sounds very bright and with some earphones like kz zs10 that have a very pronounced treble sound very sibilant but with the J1UX there's no trace of wheezing.

Comparisons

Thieaudio Legacy 3: This earphone presents a brighter and more detailed treble, faster sound and smaller soundstage. Bass is ticker in the J1UX and mids are drier in the L3.

Cat ear MIA: Both share a bassy representation, MIA presents a more prominent V shape sound so treble is more accented on the Cat ear earphone. Bass goes deeper and mids have less weight, specially voices and instruments in MIA.

Conclusions:
The J1UX offers a very good accessory set, beautiful design and unique sound. The relaxed treble representation in addition to the weighty bass and big soundstage delivers a sound not much seen in this years so if you are looking for this kind of sound, take a look to this korean earphone.
